Very nice cabins. Possibility to use the kitchen. Free water dispenser.

We stayed for 5 days, not a single day they cleaned the room or changed our towels. Also, very small room.

Great price for what was essentially a one bedroom apartment. Super accommodating staff - big shout out to Larry the bartender, who really went above and beyond to help us out in any way he could. Plus, tasty cocktails! In general, there was just a wonderful vibe. Small pool was a big plus. Accommodations aren’t fancy but they were clean and functional and met our needs well. Bike rental is a must do! So worth it.

It was slightly outside of the hotspots, but that was also good because it was completely quiet at night - and all the time really.

The staff and owner were amazing and you could tell they all really cared about guests. Highly recommended. This is located on the quieter side and part of the island which was also nice.

We really liked this place. Yes, there were some issues which we've outlined below, but this didn't stop us enjoying our stay. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the apartment. It contained a full kitchen with fridge, coffee machine (with coffee and filter paper provided), toaster, microwave, filtered water, etc. This allowed us to cook breakfast and lunch in the room and save some money on eating out. The room was very clean on arrival and we had a lovely little balcony with a partial sea view. Caye Caulker is expensive by Central American standards, so this was one of the mor expensive places we stayed on our trip. The whole island also has a problem with sargassum, so do not expect to swim easily from the dock at the front of the hotel. However, we loved lying on the hammocks on the dock with our coffee in the morning reading books. We also loved the little beach bar and evening fire pit. The bar staff were very friendly. There are a number of dogs roaming around the property, so do be aware of this if you do not like dogs. However, they were friendly and did not bother us. The apartment is at the south end of Caye Caulker away from the main bars and restaurants. This is actually a good thing as the area feels more authentic and is quieter. It is only about a 10 minute walk to the centre. Overall, a great stay which we would recommend.

We didn't like about the hotel: 1. The beds - the mattress protector on the master bed was plastic and it made the bedding stick to you and hot. My son was on a sofa bed and it was fine for a child but quite uncomfortable for an adult. 2. The apartment was not cleaned or serviced for the 3 nights we were there. We ran out of toilet paper and had to request some more and the bin for the used toilet paper became overflowing and we had to ask how to get it emptied. 3. Toilet - it did not flush effectively and was 'running on' all the time. 4. There was a little pool with the hotel but it didn't look that clean or inviting. What we didn't like about Caye Caulker (which, clearly, the hotel can't control but may be helpful for you to know): 1. The Split area of Caye Caulker was noisy with litter being thrown in the sea. Fine if you want to party, but distressing if you've come to the island for the proximity of marine life. 2. The sargassum builds up and rots in the sun which gives off a very bad smell. 3. They are feeding marine life such as stingrays and tarpons on the island to attract them to areas for tourists. This isn't very ethical. Also be aware which snorkel or dive boat you go out with as some of them are also feeding the sharks and rays to attract them. This explains the high number of sharks at Shark Alley.

Right on the seafront with hammocks and chair over a decking. Pool was clean and good beach bar area. Staff were lovely and it was great chatting to Larry at the bar! Room was good and had everything we needed, good access to a kitchen. Close to many restaurants and a 10 min walk from an ATM with no withdrawal fees (Atlantic bank). Could rent bicycles too

Nothing! It was slightly further away from The Split and that area of the island, but only a 15-20 min walk

AC was fantastic, bed was comfy, cabana is the perfect size room for just me. The grounds are great, everything is very well kept. Great shared kitchen for the smaller cabanas. Beach area and bar are super cool. The manager, Bugz, is the absolute best!

The cabins, the little bar, the swimming pool and the staff - especially Larry!

Not the fault of the hostel but the smell from the sea was really bad!

The bikes were nice to use. The room we stayed in was big and enough room for the 3 of us.

Internet didn't work in the back lodges for my brother and very off and on in our front unit.

Location was decent, close enough to amenities. Liked the style and layout of the development with the kitchen, cabanas, space etc. Staff were also great.

The lingering smell (I think the drainage), as well as having been given two damp pillows to add to the smell. The room was a little cramped too.

Direct accept the water but away from the tourist crowds.

All good. Would be even better if softer pillows is an option.

Really nice rooms with small self catering kitchen and comfortable beds. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location is great, it's quiet for sleeping but still close to the main area which is perfect. There is a beachfront bar to relax at and get some nice drinks.

You can't swim in the sea but that's everywhere on caye caulker so not the hostels fault.

This is a very simple hotel with a small pool and nice jetty with hammocks. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

The room felt very ramdon. Miscellaneous furniture, a musty bathroom, and a fridge freezer that we couldn't use because it hadn't been defrosted in a very long time. Price felt expensive but competitive for the island.
