How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewIt was so very clean! The staff were super helpful. The pool was well maintained. It was a great value. They had a beautiful balcony and the kitchen was well appointed with all you might need. I have food allergies so that is a must.

Verified reviewWe really enjoyed staying at Seremei Villas. The location is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist area, but with bikes it’s only 5-10 minutes away. We ate breakfast at their restaurant most mornings because the food was excellent and it was convenient. The pool was refreshing and a nice way to cool off. Cece and Starlie were wonderful and kind. They were a great resource for things to explore on the island such as restaurants and beaches. On Cece’s recommendation, we went on a half day snorkeling excursion with Anwar Dive Shop and they did not disappoint! The rest of the staff were very pleasant and friendly.

Verified reviewAmazing staff. Room was great. Very large and very comfortable.
The mirror in the bathroom should be installed and there was not a soap holder in the shower.

Verified reviewFamily owned and operated. Friendly staff. They went the extra mile to help us, booked a tour, taxis, a shuttle and answered questions. Comfortable and clean. Everything was with walking distance. They have an in house kitchen so we ate most of our breakfasts here. We loved being at Seremei Villas.
Nothing.

Verified reviewThe property was very clean; well kept and nice and quiet. We loved the space and having an on site bar/restaurant was lovely!
Some people may not like that it’s on the south end of town but we prefer that and don’t mind walking. We were asked by an employee to give a service fee in cash which we had already paid on booking, I declined this even though pressed. I expressed this request to the owner and she seemed genuinely surprised and stated she was glad we didn’t pay it

Verified reviewThe staff was friendly and helpful! The pool was clean and comfortable. Clean bathroom that's spacious. Decent size bed for a couple, perfect for one person. TV has cable if you want to stay in, but we opted to bring our own firestick. Decent set of cutlery and dishes to eat with. There is no stove top or toaster oven, so no cooking, but there is a microwave, coffee pot, and mini fridge.
The screen on one of the windows wasn't hooked properly. It looked like the hook had been broken at some point. There's mosquitos coil and bug spray to help, but it's still pretty bad. It's totally fixable, so hopefully, that gets taken care of. Loudness of other occupants in the pool at night made it hard to sleep until they left. I'm pretty sure the pool rules said 6am to10pm. They left around midnight. Not the owners fault, just poor guest etiquette, I guess. 8/10 experience would book again, but maybe in a different room, not poolside.

Verified reviewGood pool to cool off, quiet area, free water and coffee in the room and air-conditioning was great. Free use of bikes.
Could do with blackout curtains, a little distance from the split but not too bad if you cycle. They charged us some sort of room tax on arrival of $140 belize dollars which wasn't included or mentioned on booking.com! Probably wouldn't of booked if we had known! Shower pressure isn't great.

Verified reviewThe pictures don’t do it justice! Especially the rooms are very spacious, very clean and huge! I had booked a room, not knowing specifics and was pleasantly surprised to find out I had a kitchen and a big bathroom attached. The staff on property is amazing. They are so friendly, so helpful, very responsive. I would definitely recommend to stay here!
It is a bit further from the touristic areas that I imagined. I was offered a bike for free to use on the island. Also it can get quite noisy as the bed is right next to hallway. I have heard some relationship fights and make-ups during my stay.

Water pressure in the shower could be better but I think that is an island thing :)

Verified reviewExceptionally clean, comfortable and quiet. Very well equiped with tea/coffee facilities and cooking if desired. Lovely large room with comforts. Just a small stroll into town. Highly recommend a stay here.
The mattress was a little soft and perhaps could do with replacement also cotton sheets would be preferable, but otherwise.the cleanest hotel we’ve stayed in, in Latin America.

Verified reviewFirst, the positives. Seremei's location is very pleasant and secluded, if that's what you're interested in, without being far at all from restaurants, shops, etc. It is lushly green and treed, and the buildings are quite attractive as well. The pool is a nice size and temperature, and the grounds are well-maintained. The room we rented was quite spacious and well-lit, and some of the amenities (fridge, stovetop, sink) came in handy. Of course, the staff was friendly and good with recommendations for local places to visit/eat at on Caye Caulker.
However, for all the nice aspects of Seremei, there are some definite downsides as well: -In our room at least, the mattress was lumpy and quite uncomfortably. My partner has back problems which the mattress exacerbated during our stay -Although it may not have been the villa's fault, the toilet did not work for the majority of our stay. Staff attributed it to water shutoffs happening across the island, but since the sink and shower were working it's unclear why the toilet tank wouldn't refill for that reason. -I wouldn't recommend renting bikes from them. The bikes are old and poorly maintained - as a free service, they would be appreciated but just not worth renting. Look elsewhere if you stay there. -They do not seem to serve continental breakfast on Sundays. That's fair, but we didn't get a heads-up on arrival, so you should be aware of it. -Restaurant on-site wasn't open while we were there - again, not a huge problem but you should be aware if you get the impression it's a 'full service' hotel.

Verified reviewUnfortunately we ran into a number of issues. There was no water pressure and water was turned off at 10pm. We only found out after booking and could not get refunded. There were blood stains on the shower curtain and a sewerage smell in the bathroom. During an afternoon sleep staff unlocked the door without knocking. We tried to pay by card on arrival, no terminals working so we had to arrange cash. For the money paid 480usd for 3 nights this was terrible value.

Verified reviewBeautiful, Very clean large room with balcony and kitchenette. Had a roof top bar with great sunset views
a little messy on the first floor, parts & random stuff left out, dog doo doo on lawn. No hot water, no shower pressure. No tv, Belize hotels leave it to the guest to use their own streaming service but the internet did not connect here.
