Everything was satisfactory. We did book on route so I believe we caught them off guard arriving after supper in the dark. There wasn't enough notice so towels were missing in the room, & some cleaner/ garbage was left in the washroom. No big deal. We used our towels & got replacements the next morning. Jack kindly welcomed us & accommodated us by preparing delicious food for us after we arrived :) . Lovely pool likely needed a shock to be crystal clear. But was nice regardless.

Laid back, relaxing place with newer beautiful pool, comfortable bed/room, + Jack's Snack Shack. British owners. Not far from the hwy. Also had game room with billards. Great food with a highly talented chef that prepared wings & fajitas from scratch! Would go back for the food! Wanted to try all the items 😋. Thanks Jack!

Great spot. Incredibly friendly and fact that owner's son is a trained chef, certainly made breakfast incredible! Plus the cabanas were very comfortable as was the sitting area around the pool. Sadly too chilly to take a dip.

The location and amenities at Hidden Haven are excellent, especially for the price. Even the nature trail on the property was a gem! The kids loved the pool and pool table too, and the food at Jack's Shack is awesome! Such a great deal and great experience!

The cabins are not well insulated with 1 air conditioner to cool things down. However we stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin which would have been cooler without the dividing walls 1 room was much cooler than the other however there was also a fan (if we came again we would stay in the family room which looks more open).

Secluded with gorgeous garden and pool area which was welcomed after spending the day out exploring Staff are friendly and very helpful with planning activities and onward travel. Great internet access and Jack's Shack provided many a cold beer.

Truly a perfect haven for a family getaway!

The cabin and furnishings are basic, but the location and amenities make it a fabulous place to stay.

Hidden Haven definitely lives up to its name! It is a hidden treasure perfect for a relaxing vacation (or relaxing after your adventures). We traveled with our two teenage sons, so having our own cabin with bunk beds was a great arrangement. There are only a few cabins on the property and it is within the jungle, so you can feel you are at your own retreat, especially with the view from the balcony or in the many hammocks around the property. It is centrally located, so you can easily drive to San Ignacio, but are away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is also a short drive to cave tubing and the ATM cave (some tour companies will pick you up from the property). Our unit had a mini-kitchen, so we were able to make our own quick breakfast if we needed to get going before an early tour, but on relaxed days, Jack (the chef on site) was able to make us breakfast to order. After a long day of adventuring in the area, it was great to know we could just come back and relax and Jack would be able to make us a delicious dinner and even cook requested food for our children who are picky eaters, all for a very reasonable price. Our boys also loved playing pool in the game room, and we all enjoyed the swimming pool on a hot afternoon. It is an incredible deal and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to inland Belize!

The bedrooms in the 2 bedroom are super small ( queen beds takes up about 80% of the rooms) and dont have any storage except some hooks on the back on the door. Wall dividing the 2 bedrooms does not go all the way to ceiling- gives you visual privacy, but no sound privacy. Some maintenance issues, but owner addressed once notified.

Very Beautiful property in a great jungle location for the activities we wanted to do ( ATM Cave Tour and Xunatunich). Very nice, well maintained, jungle nature trails on the property to take a little stroll or go a little further. Pool was refreshing and clean. Nice little inexpensive bar/restaurant onsite. Room had a mini fridge, sink, coffee pot, and 2 burners with pots/pans/dishes. Deck had two hammocks and four patio chairs, wonderful for enjoying the nature sounds and jungle view. Beds were comfortable. Shower was nice and hot ( or whatever temp you want). Billiards table and Dart board

The mosquito net was too small for the bed, the blanket on the bed was small also-we were fighting over it every night. The bathroom faucet sprayed all over the place, and the pots and pans were not clean when we got them out. There were a few other things that needed fixed, but the owners did their best to help us resolve those. Also, there’s one section of the driveway that’s a little bit scary, but we did manage to get up it, even in our tiny rental car.

It was a convenient location, the view was very nice, the cabana was comfortable. It was nice to have the option for food to be served there when we didn’t want to go out. The hot water in the shower was really great. It was nice to have most all of the dishes we needed.

I can't think of anything negative. I had my doubts about the salt water swimming pool, but it wasn't salty at all and felt much fresher than any chlorinated pool. I LOVED SWIMMING IN IT!! Indeed I'm looking into installing a salt water pool on my own property. The location of Hidden Haven is quite easy to find, a short walk from the highway, at mile 58. I very much enjoyed the bird life on the property, the solitude, nature trails and congenial hosts. Great place!

The food was superb, free range eggs from their own chickens, locally butchered beef, pork and chicken. Jack who runs Jack's Shack, is a gifted cook/chef. Even ordering a simple hamburger was a culinary delight, honestly the best burger I can remember! I'd highly recommend the "full British breakfast" which I ordered all three mornings.

Hidden Haven was really a haven for us - basic, clean accommodation with beautiful jungle vista - we saw a Tucan and Hummingbirds. Excellent value for money. Jack is also a good cook. As located right between San Ignacio and Belmopan, we used it as a base to explore the whole Cayo region and then come back to rest and relax.

We were in cabina 2 and loved the setting, especially the long back balcony looking out over the hillside jungle. The hotel truly is a hidden haven, with nothing else around. It's very quiet/peaceful which was much appreciated after stays in Hopkins and cay caulker. Added bonuses include a salt water swimming pool, great food always freshly prepared and some wonderful jungle trails. We stayed 7 nights and enjoyed every day. I felt bad for most of the tourists who would book for 1 or 2 nights only and never got to appreciate all that hidden haven has to offer.

The road leading to resort needs grading, the laneway, needs grading, there's a low spot that is muddy, needs some gravel added to it. Need more dish towels. Near the sports room, the eve trough leaks on east side of building on you as you walk down the sidewalk. Bushes need trimming. It rains alot there naturally, these things should be addressed.

Very secluded, quite, lots of scenery, food was good, great staff, fun to be around. Pool was nice, good nature trails.
