Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesNo housekeeper cleaned out outside deck area, where empty water bottles were left there.
Raquel was very personable and professional. She went above and beyond, adding the little extra touches to ensure a return trip. Stewart has an amazing personality and is very welcoming. Also, the night restaurant manager was knowledgeable in the culture and the history of the Belizean people.

United StatesJust the odor from the ocean seaweed.
Quiet location, 2-bedroom townhouse style was nice. It was accommodating to have a washer and dryer in the unit, they even supplied the detergent. They also supplied daily bottled drinking water. The rain brought in seaweed to the beach which caused an odor for the whole island. Besides this, my family enjoyed our stay.

United Statesthe cost of rental golf carts, other competitors sold there's considerably cheaper. THE MOSQUITOES!!!!
I love the staff - Stephen with the curly hair, Prophet, Bill (thank you). I didn't have breakfast there, i wish i did. I truly wanted more belizean than westernized culinary experience. The facilities team were very responsive to my request! I loved how kind the security guards were.

United StatesThe staff were personal, professional and friendly. They made up for the problems with water pressure and other mild inconveniences. The food was very good at the O. Overall the resort was nice and we had a good experience, but it was overpriced in comparison to similar resorts on the island. A++ for the staff, A+ for food, A- for drinks, A- on room, C- for prices.

United KingdomLoved this hotel! It's about a 25 minute golf cart ride from the centre of the island so it's a little way out but it's quiet and peaceful. Just dusty because the road is unpaved at the moment. The staff were incredible, everyone super friendly, professional and helpful. It was a windy few days for us so we couldn't get to use the beach much but another 20 minutes on is Secret Beach so we would go there instead. The pool here is great, plenty of loungers and space for everyone to relax. The rooms were clean, beds comfy and shower powerful!! Brilliant value for money and we even got a free upgrade. Would definitely stay here again but you definitely need to hire a golf cart to get around the island. Perfect for if you want to get out the real hum of the island but there are still plenty of food places nearby.

United StatesThe food at the resort restaurant was not that good. We had no patio furniture.
Complementary water in the room, staff was accommodating, location was right in between the city and secret beach. The private beach was amazing.

United StatesThe cooking supplies are minimal so we didn't wind up cooking at all. A little further out of town (20-25 min). There was no gym and the beach front is a bit muddled (not clear, pristine waters). Pool is a little crowded with other guests and not enough shaded umbrellas.
The apartments are clean and well maintained with good AC. The staff were extremely friendly. The family really enjoyed the fishing trek though. Cocktails and food were good.

CanadaI was so happy when I first got there they upgraded me to a beautiful three bedroom suite, so I decided to stay for a week, however, during my Extention, they downgraded my room. I was told the manager was the one that downgraded my room, and only gave me a couple hours to switch rooms, which was very inconvenient for me and my family. I was told that the other room was rented when I don’t think that it was, which was disappointing.
The property is beautiful. We absolutely love the pool. The rooms are clean.

CanadaThey needed more lounge chairs on the beach. They needed to provide more coffee for coffee maker. Restaurant food wasn't great but prices very high Golf cart rented from resort didn't run very well, ran out of gas - no real apology and nothing done to compensate Really far from town
I liked how small the resort was. The pool was nice. No card or token was needed to get beach towels. Guest services was helpful in arranging excursions.

United StatesThe front desk staff was not very friendly or cheerful. The big issue we had was booking and snorkeling trip. The were not enough people for the boat to pick us up at the resort, so we were told we had to find our own way into town to catch the boat. I felt this was very unprofessional. Other properties that we have stayed at in San Pedro always got us to the venue. We ended up canceling the excursion, that was disappointing.
The everyday staff was very kind. I felt Wendy went out of her way to ensure that we were taken care of.

CanadaIt’s far from the town of San Pedro. You definitely need a golf cart. It was expensive for what you got. We only ate breakfasts there and it was very expensive compared if you went to a place in town. As I said for the most part the staff were great. My one complaint is we had wanted to do a snorkeling trip on our last day. I spoke to concierge and we signed up for the morning. Not long after we were told that the company wouldn’t do the morning because you needed 4 people, we were only 3. We couldn’t do the afternoon as we had something else planned. Concierge said they were leaving but would respond to my email. I wrote saying we would pay for 4 people so we could go and no one ever wrote me back. I followed up the next day asking why no one wrote me back and they still didn’t right me back. We were very upset. My kids really wanted to do that trip and we were willing to pay for 4 people so the company would go.
The pool is nice and property is right in the beach. They have kayaks, paddle boards etc you can use free of charge which is nice. The units are large. We had 2 bedroom/2 bath for 2 adults and 2 teens and it was a good size for us. Full kitchen if you want to cook. The staff was very nice and for the most part helpful.

United StatesThe location is very remote. Hard to get to and hard to get to other nearby attractions. Had to rent a golf cart. Might be nice if they had a fleet of their own carts.

United States~Spa tub always tripped a GFI switch located under it - so someone had to come and flip it to use. There was never hot water in the villa, just luke warm water. ~Booking advertised fixed prices for meals - that was not the case. The property indicated that was not the case. Our dinner for 4 which was booked at the O restaurant before we left the US was over US$180; as opposed to the priced quoted by Booking.com. A cup of coffee in the restaurant was just shy of US$6. ~Location of the property was 3.5 miles north of San Pedro, so it took about 30 minutes by golf cart to get there, or 15 minutes by boat. Golf cart rentals were US$80/day (but was discounted for additional days) ~Round trip transportation between Belize City to property was an additional US$239/person and included a flight to San Pedro then a Van/Boat to the property.
Villa with a beach view was fantastic. Very helpful concierge staff - booked our diving/snorkeling trips and trips to the mainland for visiting Mayan ruins. Spa services were good. Lucy our server in the O restaurant was outstanding. There is a great bakery and a good restaurant about 800 meters south of the property, so walking distance.
