Gorgeous, tranquil place to stay. Waking up 10m from the water was something special. The staff were so lovely and helpful and the restaurant had so many delicious food options. We used the complimentary bikes to cycle to Placencia, great to have the option but it was definitely a hot cycle! 😅

I didn't like that the AC wasn't working properly. It was flowing hot air and it didn't seem powerful enough to blow the air across the room even after I made the AC fan swing

I like that our room was like a mini house with with it's stove refrigerator, coffee maker,etc. Very convenient. Additionally we had our own pool section away from the crowd and noise

While the management may have little control over this, the seaweeds that washed ashore and accumulated on the beach took away from the beauty of the sandy beachside. This is not isolated to Maya Beach Hotel, but it is a problem at most hotels along the beaches, almost countrywide. Some facilities employ workers to remove them daily, but that seems to be a challenging task.

The facility is located on the beach. I woke up to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. The coconut trees overlooking my balcony provided enough shade to maintain coolness from the morning sun, but at the same time not obscuring the beauty of the sunrise over the Caribbean Sea.

cabana was excellent you can throw a rock from the deck to the ocean. The restaurant is fantastic we had dinner and breakfast, definitely the best food of the entire trip. Front desk upgraded us into a beautiful cabana.

The hotel is far away from the towns.

Cleaning service have to improve. They offer kitchen facilities but you can not find things to cook (no knife for example)

We had a few issues at the restaurant. We ate there several times and most of the time it was excellent. Twice we were waiting for food for over an hour (actually closer to 2 hours) and once we received the wrong meal. It was also recommended to have a reservation because the restaurant does get busy.

Right on the beach, excellent restaurant, responsive and attentive staff, all the amenities (ac fridge coffee maker safe etc...) A truly lovely little resort about 20 minutes from Placencia, reasonably priced. We loved it here!

It’s far from the city center and taxi rides can add up.

The location on the beach. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room had everything. It had coffee, refrigerator and utensils for preparing full meals. But the restaurant was so good, you probably wouldn’t want to. The bed was very comfortable with luxury bedding. Our unit opened up to the beach and the area was raked and very tidy. They have a variety of studio, two, three bedroom units that would accommodate families. I would highly recommend Maya Beach Resort
