Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesStaff was nice. Didn't like the desk reference to breakfast included when it was for some other program. Very confusing.
Construction across street was noisy. Steps weren't good for some of guests. Cafe staff person not friendly.

United StatesBreakfast was lacking and overpriced. Next door at the Treehouse has probably the BEST food in Belize City. There are 4 dogs who guard the residence next door and bark throughout the night.
This place and the surrounding area is SAFE. Pool was refreshing, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The history of the building was amazing. Within walking distance, is the Water Taxi where you can purchase drinks, snacks and souvenirs.

United StatesI stayed one night during my visit. The location is great … right by the sea. I hope the owners consider a full renovation to update the property fixtures and furnishings. Keep the property style if they wish but it’s time for an update. The staff was great and the price was acceptable.

CanadaThe construction!!
Belize -- a true melting pot reflected in its people, languages, cultures, vistas, regions and cuisines, a strong dedication in preserving its history, biodiversity, and natural wonders, a must for open minded travelers. A stunning country on the eastern coast of Central America, by renting a car, I witnessed spectacular places, including San-Ignacio, Balmonte, Cayo, Maya-Beach, Seine-Bight, Placencia, Santa-Cruz, Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, Hidden-Valley, Chan-Chich, the lush Hummingbird Highway, and Hopkins. By taking the excellent ferry system, I saw San-Pedro, the South and Secret beaches in Ambergris Caye, and bohemian Caye Caulker. And at last, I took the time to appreciate Belize City, where I stayed on 3 returns, at The Great House Inn, for unique experiences. It is always difficult to resume such a journey... here are my best memorable photography! Please do enjoy! Paul

Everything was ok There was 1 bottle of 1 liter of water available per day. There was a coffee pot and coffe to prepare. And, there were conplimentary bananas.

United StatesJust a heads up, there is construction on a big giant Hotel property across the street that was only about a third of the way completed as of January 2025. So if you wanna enjoy the hotel grounds or sleep in or take a nap, just be aware that might be a bummer. But if you are going to be out and about and just come back here to sleep, it won’t be an issue. We saw construction, but it didn’t mess with our sleep.
Our room was very nice and the bed was decent. We had a mini fridge, and although the balcony is a shared balcony, it’s nice to have a couple of chairs to sit outside. The pool wasn’t in the direct sun, but it’s nice that they had a pool. The showers and hot water and air conditioner all worked great. The check-in and checkout process was super easy. This hotel was within 10 minutes. Walking of a few different nice restaurants. And it is in a safe part of town.

United StatesHad a roof leak into my bathroom upon check-in. Staff was very helpful and accommodating by moving me to another room. Overall rooms were dated but mostly kept in nice condition.
Great friendly staff. Free banana for a snack and great location for my diving trip. Location is perfect for jumping on the Aggressor dive boat with a simple walk to the dock. Did not have breakfast included in my package, so cannot comment on that. Not many breakfast establishments located nearby, so something to think about.

Turks & Caicos IslandsThere is no restaurant. There is a bar but was not open. There is a very bad smell at the seating area near the pool. The walking area to the pool looks bad when you look down to the right. Across the street there is a large construction site where there is a new hotel being built , they just started building, and the pile driving noise starts at 7 am.
The room was gorgeous, colonial, lots of space, comfortable bed Ms Garcia at front desk very friendly Nice little swimming pool and sitting area. Close to some other restaurants and the ferry where you can book all kinds of tours. We loved Martha’s Cafe on the water.

RussiaYou couldn't lock the door with the doorknob, only with the key, had to take the key everywhere with a big wooden sign with the room number on it. Noise of construction right outside the window - they are building a multi-storey hotel, deadlines are tight, so they are building at night.

United KingdomThe noise from the fridge in Room 7. We had to unplug it at night. And the door lock was temperamental. We never tried breakfast as we liked Martha’s for brunch
History of the place is fascinating. Our room was huge as was the bathroom. We were at the back so no sea view but plenty of places to sit on balconies across the property. Great restaurants nearby by. Martha’s was amazing as was the Whiskey Bar

United StatesWould be great to have a restaurant or bar operating at the hotel. Also would be good to have blinds in some of the rooms given the curtains are thin so the morning light comes in brightly.
