Alicia, your review is so full of strange nonsensical statements and lies that it is hard to know where to begin. From the get-go, you booked a home-stay and the title of my homestay literally states it is a "home", and the photos of the front are also that of a home, not the Ritz-Carlton, so why you would think you were staying in a hotel is beyond me. As well, my welcome message states you are coming to stay at my home. If you wanted to book a hotel, you should have booked a hotel and then you would have paid 2-3X more for half the space with far less facilities, and also been charged $20 per night for parking. It was entirely your choice and you chose the much better option to stay with me though ultimately you did not appreciate what you had. The welcome message did state you would enter through my finished garage, but I can assure you it is cleaned regularly with all my computers neatly stored on racks off to the side. You never mentioned any issues with this when I brought you in. When you arrived late evening around 9:30pm, I asked if you would like to attend an Indian celebration happening nearby. You both excitedly said yes and I took you there to meet the host who graciously welcomed you and invited you to enjoy the feast. After trying many of the delicious dishes, you both watched the dancing and singing and drumming that went on for 45 minutes. You were both mesmerized and told me you had never seen anything like this (and such a thing would not be allowed in Spain), so for you to now say you were not happy about it is a clear lie. As far as shoes go, perhaps in your home you are happy wearing your dirty outdoor shoes indoors and on the beds, but we try to be extra clean within our home and do not allow any of that. This is why I supply clean slippers to all my guests. This is a common practise in Asian countries but perhaps not where you are from. What dirt in the accommodation are you referring to? The suite recently underwent a 15 hour deep cleaning where everything was meticulously turned upside down and cleaned thoroughly. As well, we dust, vacuum, mop, and again vacuum the suite between guests. It is spotless! Ditto for the bathroom and shower which you claimed you did not use. So, why were your towels wet? The description clearly states the suite has a kitchenette, not a kitchen. There is a huge difference between these. Whereas hotels typically provide a small fridge and microwave, we provide 7 kitchen appliances for you. So many of our guests have been grateful to have access to these which they would not have had in hotels. As far as the induction burner (which you call an electric stove) goes, I needed to demonstrate its function to you as you had never seen such an advanced device before. I did put a bit of water into a pan and you and I both touched it after a few seconds to check that it was indeed hot. The water was subsequently thrown away and the pan rinsed. How else did you want me to demonstrate it? Calling me a dirty person is highly offensive and it reflects poorly on you. I can assure you I take cleanliness very seriously as it is core to my spirituality. For the TV, you saw it worked fine after I told you how to use it, so to say it was stuck made no sense. You mentioned no air conditioning, and had you bothered to ask I could have easily turned it on for you remotely. Instead, you fiddled around with my dehumidifer which is not an AC. Your lack of awareness of technology really astonished me! In fact, my home is more technologically advanced than most other homes as it has 40 large solar panels, permanent redundant standby power generation and so many other incredible features which you were not aware of. Simple things which seemed to trip you up certainly did not trip up any of my other guests. But, rather than ask me for guidance you chose to destroy me publicly. This speaks volumes on your true nature and shows what kind of a nasty ego-centric person you truly are. I went out of my way to show you an amazing time here and provided you with so many tips of places to see. Both doors to the suite do have separate strong locks on them from the inside, so why you would say they were both only blocked by stools when there were no stools is very puzzling. And, why you said you felt unsafe is beyond me when the entire area is very safe and secure. Again, this is not your home town. You told me you live in Spain, and it is extremely dangerous and dirty where you live in Barcelona. This surprised me because I always thought Spain was a safe and clean country, or at least it was when I last visited many years ago. In contrast, my area is super safe and clean! I do not think you fully appreciated where you were staying. So, why in the world did you book my Suite if you arrived late night and the next morning you drove 5 hours to Detroit to spend the day there, only to return to Toronto at 1am to sleep. And then the following morning you drove 4 hours to Sudbury. You literally did not see anything in Toronto for the two night you had booked here. You are likely one of the weirdest group of guests I have ever hosted! When you both checked out, I presented you with a beautiful glass rose as a gift which you both appreciated. We chatted for perhaps 10 min and not once did you mention any issues. I even introduced you to my Spanish-speaking support worker for my mother who has been with us for 2 years and you had a nice talk with her. As you were leaving, I told you I am renting out rooms in my home in order to be able to stay home to look after my mother who is completely bed-ridden. And, just to clarify, I said Location does not mean distance to downtown but rather is the area safe and clean which you both agreed it was. Again, I did not ask you to leave me a Safe and Clean review so you are completely missing the point.

Thank you Marcela! You had an issue with our location, however as I mentioned to you, location actually means area. So, is our area clean and safe? That's what really matters. However, if you needed to be downtown then you were welcome to book another place there but at 3 times the cost. Otherwise most people appreciate how close we are to the main airport and to the greenbelt with deer walking around. It's also quite peaceful here with the large 3-tier water fountain running.

This review is invalid because neither you nor your wife actually made it to Toronto. You admitted yourself privately that you left a mistaken review but you don't know how to fix it. We do provide A/C units in each bedroom upon request, and all rooms have their own private refrigerators.

Victor, there are so many false statements that it is hard to know where to begin. For starters, you arrived well past midnight and I had every right to cancel your booking but I ended up waiting for you despite it being way past the listed check-in hours. You did not mention this. You also did not have any money for the security deposit. Another of my guests caught you smoking inside the suite as she could smell weed coming up through the vents. I feel your venting in this review is because you are trying to make me look bad despite you breaking several house rules which I tried to ignore. Yes, the garage has computers in it but they are all very beautiful looking systems, and are neatly organized on metal rack shelves. The floors are hardwood and it is overall quite clean. Were you surprised I owned so many cool computer systems? Do they not have garages in Spain? For the entrance to the suite, yes that has no lock once you exit the suite as it is technically an interior door, however the main exterior door to the garage has a full dead-bolt lock and only you and I have the code for that. Thus, I fail to see the issue here. Your suite is always secure. As well, we are in a super safe Italian area and I often leave my car doors unlocked without any issues. The bathroom sink, toilet, and tub were recently replaced and as I showed you they are all brand new and gleaming white. The shower was also recently professionally cleaned at great time and expense. Thus, I have no idea what you were talking about as it is completely untrue. I personally checked everything before you arrived and there were no hairs anywhere in the tub or shower. There are also no dirty sheets anywhere in the suite, unless you were sneaking into other rooms that I told you were off-limits to you. The stove is NOT electric; it is much more advanced than that. It is actually an induction stove. Countless people have had nothing but praise for it, and I did show you how easy it was to use, so again you are not telling the truth. For cleaning dishes, I told you to use the bathroom sink. It is no different for hotel rooms. So, why did you strictly use the bathtub as you told me privately? As far as the suite goes, as you also noticed it is twice the size of a normal hotel room and I only charge half what they charge. I also provide way more facilities (7 appliances in fact), not just a simple fridge and microwave. It is unfortunate you could not appreciate the amazing facility you were given. A similar sized 500 square foot hotel suite with the same facilities I am told by other guests would cost you $500 a night in Toronto which is also where I am located. I bent over backwards to help you at every opportunity. I stayed up past midnight for your safe arrival. I also spent time to advise you on amazing places to visit, which you really appreciated. I did so much to guide you and so I was not expecting such a review filled with lies.
