The bug infestation (small flies) that kept erupting from the overflow drain of the bathroom sink was a downer, as it got worse over the course of our stay. Walls do not muffle sound very well and rooms are fairly small - the baby next door cried a LONG time and we got to hear it all, both through the walls and through the open (screened) sliding door to our balcony - assuming the neighbors' door was open as well, which made sense, as the temperature was cool in the evenings and the in-wall old-fashioned AC unit was EXTREMELY loud. Parking is a bit cramped - not easy to get in and out of the spaces, but doable in our car.

Balcony and view were great - very nice place to sit and have coffee, read, etc. Bed was quite comfortable. Location was very good - close enough to town and it's nice being right on the water. Be aware that the location means that the tradeoff for your proximity to the water and the lovely view is a lot of highway noise from the other side of your room. It's not hard to tune out, but it's not a super peaceful getaway place.

This is a fantastic motel and the staff were outstanding in their friendliness and helpfulness. The location and view of the water and Quadra Island from the room was spectacular. We even saw humpback whales from our balcony. The room had been recently renovated and the kitchen was fully equipped and perfect for our stay. We will be back!

There were no utensils or crockery in the room. This would have been helpful for using the microwave.

The bed was very comfortable and large and the view from the balcony was great. We even saw whales travel past. Staff were very friendly. It is about 30 minute walk into the township.

An outside light on the deck would have been nice as well as a fan in the bathroom.

The room was very clean and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable overnight stay. The person at the front desk was very pleasant, friendly and accommodating. We were grateful for a warm, dry, cozy place to stay. The view from the balcony is also pretty impressive!

Air conditioning could be updated, but I get it is tough with an East/West facing motel.

The staff and facilities were great. Very basic motel, but the items in the kitchen were very thoughtful and I felt like they thought of things, well. The views were excellent and it was quiet which was nice. Great location.

The rooms are in need of some modernisation - however I stress are clean, tidy and comfortable.

This motel met my expectations, it provides well equipped, tidy, clean and comfy room with views of Campbell River. If you are lucky and in season you will witness Humpbacks and possibly Orcas swim by within meters of your room! I would class the motel as a budget motel but at a budget price and I was more than happy with my room and facilities. A 20 minute walk in to Downtown and great views across the river.
