Mattresses were a little too soft for our preference. Room was on 2nd floor which made it difficult for us to bring in luggage (we are seniors). Parking was across a busy street.

The sound system in the room wasn't hooked up and the propane fireplace didn't have instructions for turning it on. It was plenty warm in the room, however.

Parking is on the other side of a busy street, and there was little room to unload near the room if another car was there. The parking lot is dirt, so even more annoying. The road is quite busy. Early morning traffic included large trucks, and the noise woke me up. It was very restful up to that point. I wanted to like the restaurant, but it was pricy and had little on the menu that I'd enjoy. The bathroom soap was heavily scented. Too much for someone with sensitivities. The curtains did the job. You need them, because even in the bathroom there'd be no privacy at all without them.

The room was more luxurious than expected. Very nice, very comfortable. Checkin was friendly and painless. It was a warm welcome.

There wasn’t much I didn’t like. Parking was across the street but it was plentiful so no issues.

Even though I did not use it, the restaurant as part of the facilities looks amazing. I loved the layout and the size of the room and the fireplace and tub. Kitchen is also fully stocked if I had wanted to heat up some food. It would have been great.

Silly to limit guests to one cup of coffee per person in the morning, knowing how inexpensive the pods are. There was a giant floor unit air conditioner right beside one of the beds and it was both in the way and very loud. The bathroom door was not marked as a bathroom, and it was stuck, so we were unsure where our bathroom was or whether it was even private, as it had access via the common hallway as well.

It was close to the road, so was a bit noisy, but we knew that, and brought our earplugs.

We checked in at the restaurant, which was quite busy when we arrived, but the staff was accommodating. There was no breakfast provided, as expected, but we had full use of a kitchen.

We were right out on the main drag on Fraser Road, which wasn't ideal, but not bad at all. Also, our suite was in the "basement," with just basement windows, so not super-bright, but still fine. ANd the staff had minimal contact with us, very brisk, not rude but not very welcoming.

The suite was super super comfy! It was homey and clean and inviting and relaxing. Sheets, linen, bed, pillows - just amazing.

Had a great stay at Auberge Mr James. Owner left clear instructions as there was no one at the front desk due to holiday. Very clean and cozy room. They gave us a courtesy call letting is know where key was when we arrived.

The car park is across a busy street and there is no sidewalk outside the property which made transfer of luggage more difficult than is usual. There was an only one coffee pod for the machine, and the veranda was without chairs or a table.

Can’t complain

The owner was extremely nice and helpful. He greeted us upon arrival and even helped us with a dinner reservation. He was working very hard to beautify the place, while his restaurant was under expansion construction. Still, very quiet, comfortable, and a great location.

The comfort of the bed. The condition of the walls.

Eclectic. The house had a unique design but many of the furnishings were outdated. The staff was great. The adjoining restaurant was superb. The beds were small and the one in Mr. James was uncomfortable.
