Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The bed was hard and very uncomfortable. In general the bed keeps you awake all night long. The bathroom sink was very small and positioned very low with the faucet not functioning properly either splashing the water or not running adequately, not adjustable either very hot or cold. The fridge did not have a light bulb so couldn't see my stuff inside of it.
I liked the location, and the view. The kitchen was well equipped.

Loved the location. Owner and staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Very clean room and restaurant at a distance walk. Country style place. Just in front of the St Simeon to Rivière du Loup ferry. Do recommend!

The price was very expensive for the type of accommodation. No breakfast included neither.
The place was very clean. Staff was friendly. The restaurant across from the property was very good. I would stay again if the price was around 100$ a night and not 2.5 times more expensive.

The room (ground floor and back of hotel) was not very well lit and apart from a small fridge did not have any extra facilities. There was a shared microwave in the upstairs salon. I imagine the upstairs rooms with sea view would be better.
It’s useful if you want to take the first ferry across the St. Lawrence. Otherwise I’m would be looking for something else. It is literally a one minute walk from the hotel to the head of the ferry queue.

The room could be made a little prettier, with nicer bedding and extra pillows, for example, but that's not really very important. We only spent one night, and the room had everything we needed.
The hotel has a beautiful view of the ferry dock and beach and river beyond. They nicely provided a couple of plastic chairs on the balcony to sit and watch all the goings-on. The room was basic, so no more no less than we needed, with double beds, but it was very clean and tidy. For a warm summer's day, there was also a fan in the room, which was really helpful and made for a good night's sleep.

A fridge would have been useful for us.
Wonderful location right by the ferry dock with views across the river from the terrace outside the door. The on-site restaurant also had an excellent view, good food and was open for both dinner and breakfast. The room was comfortable and clean. Easy free parking.

If staff had told us there was a common room on second floor with great view and couches to meet other guests.
Not luxurious, but a great deal for the price. The view and the location are dreamy, right next to the ferry. Restaurant decent good. Good food, but nothing fancy (eg: great seafood, but on ordinary rice with frozen vegetables). Breakfast great.

The kitchen needed a toaster and coffee machine. The door slams loudly and walking on the floor shakes the building since its not mounted on a foundation. The price was somewhat high for the quality of the premises, even given the beautiful location and the season. Staff should be better prepared.
We took the little chalet overlooking the river. It was a beautiful and quiet location and we appreciated the privacy. Parking was really easy as well.

Staff did their very best, but it was super busy as it was high season and they were a bit overstretched. Restaurant was closed in the morning which was a shame.
Location was perfect, great views. Staff were lovely, . Would definitely stay there again.
