We spent 2 nights at this location and were pleased with this choice. Located in the Old Town, it offers easy walking access to the entire of Old Town, the Bush Pilots memorial (make sure to go up that rock for spectacular views) and many top-notch fish and chips places or try the restaurant on the premises that is well rated as well. Room was clean and comfortable and offered views on the lake and has a great balcony.

For a multi-day stays, it would have been nice to have a few quick supplies in the room like coffee / tea / sugar and creamers. There is a fridge and minimum cutlery / cups etc but you have to buy everything - there are no easy breakfast / coffee shops around.

This 3 bedroom apartment had large bedrooms, comfy beds and lovely common space. It has a fabulous deck off the upper level overlooking the water. A deck on the water was great for coffee, swimming and watching the float planes

Excellent location - easy to walk to all of Old Town's sites, canoe rental and great dock to sit on to enjoy morning coffees.

There is a restaurant below that was good. Location was beautiful but not as accessible to pier at appears in pictures. The chairs by the lake are on a floating dock that you have to walk down to. It appears in pictures like it is easy to go out have coffee by water but there is balcony that you can still enjoy.

The parking is terrible. As the restaurant is quite busy, and there are only 6 stalls, if you leave chances are good you will not get to park there until after 8pm. They charge at $1000 cleaning deposit at the end of your stay. This is not advertised or was not informed until we left. They reimburse you once their cleaners have cleaned the room and takes about 4 days. This would not have been such at shock if this information was included with booking information. We also had contractors working outside our door until midnight 2 of our 4 nights. Stairs are quite steep with not much of landing at top if renting the suite.

Amazing spot to stay in the Historic Old town of Yellowknife. We had the 3 bedroom suite on the second floor and offered an excellent and unobstructed view of the water and the Air Tindi float plane base. Yes you’ll see planes fly in and out multiple times in season. Newly renovated and clean. There is also a restaurant inside same building (Flamecraft). A short walk to other restaurants and little shops. Would definitely stay again.

Beds need to be changed. The king and queen mattresses sag in the middle and make for an uncomfortable sleep .

The location was perfect along the water, beautiful yard and dock to sit at. Float planes take off and land close by.

There was some confusion about getting access to the property. We didn’t receive the email with the info to get into the lock box where the key is located. We had to rely on the restaurant staff located at the property to get hold of the owners for us. They were very helpful and kind in assisting us when they really didn’t have to as they are a separate business. Having said this I would still recommend as it may have been a one off that this happened.

Fabulous location. Restaurant in the Inn was excellent. Check in was easy. Coffee and tea supplies were great. Contact via text was very good and friendly. Questions were answered promptly.

Mattresses and pillows need to be upgraded. Bathroom sink was very tiny so it was difficult to fill water bottles, wash dishes etc. It was also badly placed directly in front of exit to shower.

The cleanliness of the room. Comfortable bed.

I thought it would be more secluded and quiet. Paper thin walls were disturbing with the restaurant and people upstairs. The water was either scalding or freezing if someone else was using water.

Self contained cabin with views of the lake- private and comfortable, in cool old town area. Easy to walk to the (awesome) brewery and cool little shops. We could walk across the ice right off the dock.

A toaster would be a great addition :)

    Well located, well equipped room.

Noisy room, we could hear the boiler room quite loudly, and the neighbors next door because it communicates with the restaurant next door, we couldn't hear the restaurant but the staff who must have been fetching things from the room.

I like the privacy, amazing location with its own entrance to the lake and this time when the lake is frozen. We went for a walk on the frozen lake every day was amazing, strongly recommended, and plus the cabin has his own bathroom. And I have the pleasure to meet with the honor Jhon, who is a nice guy and very friendly, took time to explain to us what activities, restaurants, and places we can visit. And don't forget the most important thing, we were able to see the norther ligths twice, you been in love with the place.

A+ for the location on the shore of Great Slave Lake in the heart of Old Town, Yellowknife. I definitely want to return, and I would stay here first. If it were not available, I would look for somewhere else in Old Town, which is more charming than the city center. In addition to having a great view of the lake, the Aurora Bayside Inn is within easy walking distance to so many great places, for instance, the Bush Pilots Monument, from which you get a 360 degree view of the city and lake; the Trading Post, a trendy cafe with delicious cinnamon rolls and their own ice cream; Bullock's Bistro, the iconic fish restaurant; and the Northwest Territories Brewing Company, a super happening brewery with excellent food and beer -- try the Bug Repellent IPA. We stayed in the three bedroom suite, which was comfortable, clean and toasty warm, in addition to having a great view of the lake and balcony from which we saw awesome Northern Lights.

I was surprised that the tap water isn't as cold as it is in Massachusetts in the winter.

Great location for Aurora watching with large windows in the living, dining area and also from the big deck overlooking the open space and lake. Very convenient to have a restaurant within the building serving lunch and dinner without having to step out in the cold.

had to haul luggage up the stairs to the second floor unit - no elevator

The location of the cabin is SUPER B! It faces to the lake. When the northern lights comes up, it is easy to access the lake surface to take fabulous photos in winter.

We were able to walk around the old town and out onto the frozen lakes quite easily. We were able to see the northern lights sitting on the couch in the living room as the windows were so big. We spend most of our time in the kitchen and living room area because it was so comfortable.

I would have liked better lighting in the bedrooms. However, opening the blinds will give added natural light.
