Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaVery noisy when other guests are entering building just because of the design and age of the hotel.
Cool hotel if you are looking for a rustic experience. Rooms were clean, definitely had a 1920 hotel smell.

United StatesThere really isn't parking, except on the street and that was closed for street cleaning the night of our stay. We worked it out by parking at a nearby park.
The location of the hotel was perfect for our stay. Having a kitchen was wonderful.

Loved the big bedroom And bathroom, so clean and loved the old style. Much more interesting and friendly than new modern facilities. Windows that open a plus, and kitchen facilities and big living room in common area very nice especially the toaster! Great location too.

CanadaMain street location means limited street parking and noise from the street. A quiet town but a not so quiet street. Perhaps there was additional parking I didn't notice - it wasn't a problem for me in the shoulder season but in the summer it could get tight.
Charming place with a great shared searing area and small kitchen. I appreciated the abundance of coffee and the kettle for tea.

CanadaA little sad that we were 100 years or so late but at least we could charge our electric mobile to continue our delayed journey to Dawson City.
The joint oozed character. You can almost hear the discussions of the Klondike pioneers planning their routes to the goldfields. Clean, comfortable, and large room.

CanadaA better tv/remote combo and some remodelling in the bathroom (a sink that drains properly) would be good.
The downtown location, the glacier view, the heritage building aspect, the overall comfort and the clear entry instructions were all positive.

CanadaWhen I tried to open the window it almost literraly fell out (there were a few sticks beside it, as I got it, to ram the window so it would stay open). Besides, the windows seem haven't been cleaned since somewhere 30's. There should have been a 'shared kitchen access' but instead only a microwave, fridge, and a kettle were provided. No stove, no sink, no kitchenware, so kitchenette at best.
Very atmospheric hotel in a great location for those who enjoy historic buildings.

United StatesThe coffee maker was in the shared kitchen. And one must wait their turn. The living room and full kitchen is shared. There are two or three flights of stairs depending on which floor your room is on.

CanadaOur bed was not flat, lisped to the one side. It was a little uncomfortable because we felt we were going to roll out. There was no room for a night table by our bed, on either side. The TV took up the top of the dresser, so we could not put any of our "stuff" on that dresser. The room was extremely small, and probably should be considered for a single bed. There was o place in the bathroom to store your toothbrush, as it needed a vanity or little table. The carpet should be removed and a wooden (laminate) floor be in the bedroom, as we found the carpet dirty-looking.
The hotel was historic. There was a common room where there was a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker, which was really nice to have. The bathroom had a nice shower and good towels. There was room to park on the street in front of our hotel. We had beautiful views of the mountains from our bedroom window and the common rooms (kitchen and livingroom). The staff were very nice, when they were on site.
