Breakfast could be improved. Eggs or pancakes should be added, more than one type of cereal should be offered.

Loved breakfast, freshly made with cooked eggs dishes, different every day. Loved the hot tub. Nice location 5 mins drive from town with restaurants and lake. Room very comfy and quiet, large bathroom and shower. Recommended!

Location was remote yet close to town. Beautiful setting. Comfy room and great homemade breakfast. Bev is a wonderful host with very helpful ideas and suggestions that made our visit to the area more special and fulfilling. Loved the location of the house. Open areas and peaceful. No cars Not touristy like other areas we visited.

Breakfast was the best we had this holiday. We had the luck having it twice. Lovely chats with the owners and excellent advice for trips in the neighbourhood. Slept like a bear in the quiet environment.

Clean bed makes our stay so comfortable. I love the rustic style from everywhere. Host is very nice and giving us info of where to go around towns. The breakfast tastes delicious with various choices of food. Excellent choice for couple getaways.

My stay was excellent and made my visit to beautiful Muskoka memorable. Bev and John are fantastic hosts. It was definitely the place I needed to rest and recharge after a long conference week in Niagara Falls and before heading on to further work commitments.

Breakfast was our choice and delicious. Great host and just outside of the town so you get peace and quiet. During the day before we went for dinner we had deer grazing outside our window. Great experience.

Our recent stay at the Bear and Butterfly Bed and Breakfast was very disappointing. We had booked a two-night stay but decided to leave after just one night. During check-in, we asked the owner where we could smoke, as we knew it was a non-smoking property. The owner told us we could only smoke outside, so we made sure to comply with this rule and only smoked outside the property. However, the next morning, the owner knocked loudly at our door and falsely accused us of smoking in the room. Although there were smoking supplies in the room, they were unused. Due to the owner's behaviour, we felt unwelcome at the property and made the decision to check out. We intended to settle the bill for the one night we stayed, but the property owner mentioned that she was unable to modify the reservation because it was made through a third party (Booking.com). According to the property's policy, all modifications and cancellations are to be handled through the Booking.com platform. However, Booking.com requires the property's consent for any modifications to the reservation, making it appear that the property has control over the refund process. I paid the full amount with the understanding that I could resolve any issues through Booking.com, but this has proven to be misleading and dishonest.
