There were no water bottles or ice machine available in our building. We had to go to the restaurant or bar to get these things.

The setting and grounds were beautiful and clearly well maintained. As a country property along a creek it has a great deal of character.

Monday at 5am, they wake us up because Gordon’s food truck arrived, too many noises, people talking, so we couldn’t sleep any longer. The view from the room was to the parking lot. Monday, around 8:30am, when we were taking our shower, the fire alarm went off and we got really scared. Running, with towels, we went out but nobody was there. It was very weird.

It’s a beautiful and charming place.

Sadly the property is in need of some time and money being spent on it. The management have confused shabby with quant.

The food in the restaurant was outstanding and the staff were excellent.

Our room in the main lodge had a portable window air conditioner that seemed like it was on it's last leg...powered by a switch at the door. not many outlets available for charging...

Some attention needs to be paid to the Google map directions (the hotel can contact them to right the wrong registration location and road conditions). Hotel staff were flustered on my arrival and indicated I would need to wait until they were finished on the computer. I was patient but didn't feel overly welcomed. The bed was OK but too soft for our liking. The restaurant staff need training. We were told upon arriving for breakfast that they were full, albeit we could see many empty tables. She left us, then returned minutes later to seat us. We did check the website before heading there and found no way to make a reservation. Breakfast was very tasty - it's nice to get back bacon. The wifi service was easily accessible but seemed very slow. We had come for the Clinton 150 Homecoming celebrations. The hotel, being only 11 minutes away, seemed to have no knowledge of the event. They could benefit from being aware of local happenings.

The Inn is a lovely setting, and we were pleased to see some recent decor changes. Very relaxing to wake up to a view of the river and the room was a fantastic size.

The window air conditioner was quite noisy. No kettle or bar fridge.

The landscape was beautiful and lush. The Inn is lovely and well appointed. We had three meals in the Ivey Restaurant which were very good to excellent. The bed was quite comfortable.

The rooms were clean and spacious. The grounds were well kept and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. My wife said the lamb was the best she has ever had. Our Breakfast the next morning was again top tier. Very well prepared and most tasty. We hope to come out again soon.

What was not to like?

What a beautiful, serene setting! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the Woollen Mill building. It was like stepping back in time. Our breakfast was included and it was delicious! We didn’t have dinner but had drinks on the patio when dinners were being brought out and they all looked like very generous portions.
