Very few free power outlets in room, I had to move furniture about a bit so I had power close enough to a table to use a PC. Staff used the only (1) lift for servicing during the peak 7am>8am period, this could be better organized.

Staff were helpful, friendly and shared local information and tips, room was good and clean but worn. Location just off the noisy streets yet an easy walk to middle of town, eateries and attractions.

Very overpriced, dated rooms with loose wall sockets, dont be a minute late for check out because they will come knocking and once you tell that member of staff you are leaving now but seconds later they start calling the room phone, seems excessive for only 5 minutes considering the cost of a room and having waited 20 minutes the previous day to check in. Stay somewhere else for the money, nothing about this hotel warrants the price they charge. They also messed up my payment and took it from the wrong card.

It's bit hard to find out how do we use change shower and faucet at bathroom for foreigner.

We stayed family room. We could use hot pool(spa?) in other property where located next to hotel. It could help us to relax. The location is very good close by Downtown.

(1) beds could have been a bit more comfortable; (2) toilet didn't flush great; (3) deadbolt and chain would have been appreciated on room door (hotel security in general felt lax as anyone could wander in around the halls); (4) it would have been nice to have a complimentary shower cap; (5) the room size was tight (but manageable) for the amount of furniture.

Didn't have air conditioning, but the hotel made this clear before we were required to pay. We stayed mid August, this wasn't an issue for us, still had a good night's sleep.

Check-in was great, very thorough, with the guy taking time to offer advice on activities and restaurants. Only stayed for 1 night, so I didn't check out facilities, but it was perfect for what we needed. We were told we could use their sister hotels spa and fitness room. Location spot on. Staff exceptional.

As an improvement, it would be good to have a lock on room entry doors that most hotels have so safe and secure overnight.

The hotel is old, no A/C, halls are smelly(The room itself was not smelly though) No microwave in the room.

Unfortunately, there were several power outages during our stay due to a faulty fuse. However, the aforementioned courteous staff responded immediately and even offered us an upgrade to a suite.

The Biw View Lodge has a beautiful location on the Bow River, and the center of Banff is just a few minutes' walk away. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the river. We also appreciated the underground parking, the swimming pool, the steam bath, and the Jacuzzi. We especially want to emphasize the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. We highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return.

Wish there was AC in the room. Although we don't need it at the time of stay, cold in the mornings and room temperature the entire day (<24C). Not sure if the rooms exceeded >24C during summer -up in the mountains, i guess the facility did decide not to have one. By the way, there was a fan supplied in a room (in a shelf)- if guest decides to use it

Warm welcome, spacious room, super comfy bed, balcony with a nice view of the river, free parking in the centre of Banff. We enjoyed the location and being able to walk everywhere we wanted to in Banff - easy access to the Bow River trail, the legacy trail, canoe and bike hire, horse riding, free shuttle bus to the gondola and, of course, the wide selection of shops, restaurants and attractions in the town. It was also a bonus to be able to use the facilities at the sister hotel across the road and we liked the green incentive of $5 per night to spend in the Park Lodge restaurant if you opt out of room service, which worked for us during our three nights stay.

There was no air conditiong. This was stated so I was aware. I was concerned when we placed the quilt cover back on the bed the amount of dust that came out. I have tried not to think about that too much.

The location of the Bow View was perfect. Once we arrived, we did not need to use the car to go out for dinner. Having a view of the Bow River was fantastic.
