Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaCould’ve used some cushions on the sofa, but that’s nitpicking.
Walking thru the front door and hearing the Stingray Smooth Jazz station playing on the TV was a wonderful surprise. You knew you were somewhere relaxing. The location was close to a grocery store, making it handy for shopping for a dinner and a bottle of wine.

CanadaThere was nothing we didn’t like about the property
There was plenty of parking and the access to the property was great. The proximity to restaurants was walkable. The room it self was good and kitchen had limited but acceptable items

United StatesLoved the very modern interior as compared to the Victorian outside. Lots of room, immaculate, comfortable and the washer/dryer was a nice bonus. Just minutes from shops and restaurants. Plenty of parking.

CanadaParking fee was automatically added even though I didn't have a car. I got it removed easily, but shouldn't be automatic.
Kitchen facilities were great.

AustraliaThe main reason I stayed there was the advertised washing machine because I am traveling for an extended period. There was indeed a washer/dryer combo but it was very difficult to figure out and took AAAGES to dry the clothes. Like about 7 hours. Making me wonder if I was using the right setting. A list of instructions pasted to the side of the machine would have been helpful.
I loved everything about this place especially the high quality internet, ease of entry and the kindness of the hosts allowing me to stay a little later because of my late train departure.

CanadaThe door to our room had a gap that let in sound and light from the main hallway. We could hear the jazzy music playing on the TV before opening the door. Minimal, but noteworthy. The mattress tended to sink a bit in the middle. For one person, it would be fine, but when sleeping with someone else, you quickly end up having to relocate to the edges every few hours.
Easy to get to and it is within the downtown core. Communication with staff was fantastic. We got a phone call soon after booking to inform us of the after-hours arrival process. The lady I spoke to was both friendly and welcoming. Room cleanliness was outstanding. We came across cleaning staff before checking out and they seemed very professional. Great ambiance in the building. Nice attention to lighting quality.

CanadaMy ''Terrasse'' was just a public deck/porch area. Quite misleading with all the pictures of the 2 big terraces that are pushed across all platforms. My specific appartment was really dark. Totally fine though for a one night stay and cheaper than many other places of that quality downtown
Very comfy, perfect location in a secure spot

SpainOne thing we didn't quite like was the lack of natural light. There are big windows, but they have blackout curtains that were broken shut, so the place feels dim even on sunny days. Other things we found odd were the placement of the washer and dryer in the bedroom (right behind the door when you enter). The high table and chairs in the kitchen / sitting room were right below the TV so you'll have to eat at the small center table by the couch if you want to eat and watch TV at the same time (otherwise, have the TV literally a few inches from your face). It may be nothing for some but for guests who really use the kitchen in this kind of hotels, the kitchen utensils provided were rather disappointing. For instance, the frying pan looked worn out, the non-stick is full of scratches, which makes the food you're cooking stick to it. They provided dishwashing soap but forgot the sponge. And since there is no room service, you're expected to clean after yourself.
Aesthetically pleasing and charming but with some quirks. This is how I will describe this place. Upon entering the place, you will be welcomed by a pleasant smell and a relaxing music. There's a nice sitting room with a Christmas tree (we came in December) where you can hang out and people watch while having a hot cocoa or coffee, if you like. It is a really nice touch! Checking in and out were no fuss since it only takes a code to open and lock the door. The chateau looks like a house that has been converted into a hotel/bnb. It is well-maintained and clean. The interior design was quite nice although the layout seemed a bit off. We booked the room at the first floor (Room 1) which has a separate bedroom, a kitchen with a sitting room and TV, a large bathroom, and a foyer (at the back), which would have been helpful when you need to leave your snow-filled boots and coats outside the room. But since you can't unlock the foyer from the outside, you'll still have to get in and out using the main door, which opens directly to the bedroom. Location-wise, it is between a 4 and a 5. It is in downtown Moncton where most of the cafes, bars, restaurants, and a few establishments are. It is a few steps away from Main Street where you can take Bus 51 (Greenline) which can take you to the main spots. Overall, the chateau is a comfortable stay with a super comfortable bed, amazing shower area, albeit with basic amenities.

CanadaIt was a LITTLE hard to open and close the shower door. I was scared to break it at first but then once I realized I had to put a little force into it, it was ok.
It was like an apartment. I have allergies, so it was super nice to have a full kitchen to use. I had plenty of space to put my food I brought in a cooler into a fridge. I loved the bar type seating. It was warm. The shower was amazing. It took me a second to realize that there were 2 shower heads. It was nice and warm in the bathroom which I love for a shower. The closet was so nice that my fiance and I bought one just like it a few weeks later. We didn't really use the closet though as we were only there 2 nights.
