How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

A luggage stand would be a great addition to the room to keep the luggage off the floor and therefore easier to access.
The accommodation was clean and well equipped. The decor is updated. Checking in was a simple process.

I wish I could stay longer.
Our stay was very pleasing esthetically and comfort wise. Your house is very clean and we had one of the best experiences on this trip panning from Toronto to Calgary to Edmonton and Vancouver. You have shown details of each and every need of the guests. Thanks for hosting us.

Not the best sound insulation, but good enough for us.
The facilities were awesome! A washer and dryer helped our later days trip! The house owner was helpful and friendly! Nice neighborhood. Easy to find food

We liked it all!
Really cute, spacious, clean and quiet suite. We were in town for a basketball tournament, and this was great for our family! I appreciated the kitchen for making some meals, and the washer/dryer for cleaning our clothes. Host family lovely, attentive and welcoming - would definitely stay here again when visiting B.C. Thank you for the great stay!!

It was the perfect spot for my family to relax in at the end of the day. It was so hot outside and the suite was cool and welcoming. The beds are very comfortable and the shower is really nice too. The yard is beautiful, especially at night with all the lights on. There is lots of space outside to sit and relax as well. The owner himself is so welcoming and is very nice to communicate with. I highly recommend this property, it’s a great space for a family.

Everything was fantastic
It was nice clean and very comfortable place. Had all the basic stuff like coffee tea cups extra pans. Checkin was very very easy, just use the code that owner provides. Have parking spot too.

I don't really have anything bad to say. I guess one issue would be the parking. They have an area closer to the entrance for unloading any luggage. I thought it was designated parking as well. Parking is on the street, where they have added a small concrete pad on the side of the road.
Everything was fantastic!! I was only there for one night, but I was extremely pleased with my experience. The host was friendly and welcoming. The yard looked great! It has a swing and slide, with plenty of room to run around for the little ones. There's even a little area to practice your putting! The interior was well done. The kitchen had all the basics of home. The 2 bedrooms are big and bright. The bed i had slept in was comfy, I'm sure the other bed was just the same. I have already booked a longer visit.

The apartment was beautiful! Clean, bright and very comfy beds. The host was very friendly and easy to contact. We loved the snack basket and we had everything we needed. My LO loved the playground and mini golf (all fenced and safe). When my door code didn't work, the host unlocked the suite remotely and arrived in minutes to show us around.

We could hear everything upstairs. Kids go to bed early and the party went until midnight.
