Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWhile the continental breakfast served was delicious, it was incredibly minimal in terms of volume, with no offer of a second croissant etc. For the price we were paying it seemed very underwhelming and designed by someone on a diet. Wouldn't go back due to that.
Mattresses were wonderful, great AC in room, shower was very nice, lighting very cool in the room

United StatesWe had some issues with the tiny bathroom: the sliding barn door would slide open, wouldn’t stay closed. The toilet clogged, and it took staff 6 hours to find a plunger and free it. The toilet paper roll holder was broken. The breakfast consisting of a warm croissant with a bit of strawberry jam and cheese got a little monotonous after the 2nd or third day.
The staff, particularly Marie-Eve and Charlotte, were very friendly & welcoming. The location in the old town was very central, on a quiet street. The property itself was beautifully renovated

United StatesRoom lighting, bathroom sink very tiny, no counter space in bathroom, gigantic stiff pillows (tried to exchange, but there were no alternatives). Being in a converted house certainly has its challenges, but guests should be aware of the steps at entrance and those leading to the guestrooms (numerous and steep).
Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating of requests for dining recommendations. Hotel was very clean. The wine machine was fun. Back courtyard is beautiful and quiet. The hotel is in a very quiet location and also VERY conveniently located to old town, Abraham's Plain, waterfront promenade, etc.

CanadaIn room number one the bathroom door and overall bathroom design is flawed. The door doesn't give you any privacy and there are gaps on both sides. The track for the door is faulty. Not comfortable at all. Complimentary snacks were all stale. Breakfast is only a croissant with a sliver of butter and a tiny cup of diced fruit.
Beautiful hotel, the aesthetics and overall feel was outstanding. Wonderful staff, very private and quite.

United StatesThe bathrooms are tiny.
Hotel Cap Diamante exceeded all expectations during our recent stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming—genuinely some of the friendliest we’ve encountered. The property itself is absolutely charming, beautifully maintained, and full of character. The location couldn’t be better—nestled on a quiet street that still puts you just steps away from all the major sights and attractions of Old Quebec. It felt peaceful and relaxing, yet we were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do. Mornings were a delight with a wonderful continental breakfast, and having free coffee and Nespresso available throughout the day was a lovely touch. These small details made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. We would absolutely stay at Hotel Cap Diamante again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming, and well-located place to stay in Quebec City.

United StatesOur room (9) could’ve had a better curtain over the window, it didn’t quite cover the whole window. Our room was right by the front door and we could quite clearly when people entered and left the hotel.
The location was perfect. It was quiet yet still minutes from the heart of the old city. The included breakfast was yummy and had great service. Room was updated with nice touches like filtered water, new linens (made from 100% linen), and different lighting options. Parking was super convenient too.

United StatesWe liked everything. The bathroom is very small - this did not matter to us, but others might not like that. There are steep stairs to reach the "lobby" and more to the room - again, we did not mind (and we knew this) but other's might not enjoy.
We had a WONDERFUL stay! The hotel is in a great location for what we wanted to see/do. Parking was easy and very close. The staff are AMAZING. I cannot say enough about how wonderful they all are. The welcome we received when we arrived was warm. Breakfast was wonderful. We lounged in the library each night with a cup of tea and it was a lovely place to unwind. I highly recommend this hotel.
