Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaSince it was Bed and Breakfast would have been perfect if the breakfast was fully served, like egg and bacon included in the price. But as we said we enjoyed because the fridge had enough food for us, just not an actual breakfast.
The room was cozy and very clean. Very quiet property also the common area was very nice even though we didn’t use a lot. 24/7 coffee and snack ( fruits, sweets, yogurt, bread and everything that was on the fridge ). Worked perfectly for us. Very close to Charlottetown. There is free parking and the backyard was so beautiful and if the weather is good you can enjoy. The hosts were very kind and helpful.

CanadaFour points to note here that are not meant to be negative but just for guests to be aware. If you arrive at night, my GPS would take me past the building. The sign can be hard to see at night when cars are parked and with all the trees. Quiet time starts at 10 pm and they lights are turned out in the common areas. I would go to my room but there is no chair in the Sunflower room to sit and relax after the lights are out - I did not ask if I could turn lights on and sit in the common areas after 10pm, it may be an option. The Sunflower room is in the basement with a nice big window. I had trouble connecting to phone service but apparently this can be a problem on many parts of Prince Edward Island. WiFi was a good alternative and it was reliable. Finally, just as a note, there is a flight of stairs to get into this house. The outside ones are older so they are deep (beautiful brick stairs, but tall steps). If you are in the Sunflower room, there is a flight of narrow stairs down to the room, as you would expect in a house, so keep this in mind if you have several suitcases or heavy luggage.
I was in the Sunflower room. The host was very friendly and responded quickly. This location is 20 min to Charlottetown airport or 15 minutes to downtown and has direct highway access to Confederation bridge. The outside is so quiet at night and you can see the stars. Parking space is provided and easily accessible. The room was comfortable with its own adjustable A/C and heat and private full bath and mini-fridge. Plenty of pillows and an extra blanket, plenty of towels and amenities in the bathroom including shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, face and hand soap and hair dryer. The common areas are spacious, comfortable and sunny. Kitchen is large and well stocked with a variety of hot beverages. Light breakfast fare (continental type) was available. I did not see a microwave but also didn't ask.

CanadaNothing, we loved everything!
We had a bad experience at another place prior our stay here and Chez Nous was just amazing! Sam was very friendly, showed us around, explained everything and was very accommodating. He had excellent options for breakfasts. The home was amazingly beautiful, we were able to use all the common areas if we wished and everything was very, very clean. I would recommend Chez Nous to anyone. You will not be disappointed.

CanadaThe guest house is impeccably clean with a spacious bedroom that was very comfortable for three adults. Often, a bedroom listed for three is only really big enough for two, with an extra bed squeezed in. This was actually spacious enough for three adults. The shared kitchen is large, modern and fully equipped so we were able to make a full meal and eat outside on a lovely terrace overlooking the lovely grounds. Everything was plush, modern, bright and clean. Very comfortable!

Great host, everything inside the house was well thought through. All the amenities were great quality. Even though the breakfast wasn't provided and you couldn't use the stove for cooking, Sam keeps all the trimmings to have excellent continental breakfast: milk, juice, yogurt, oatmeal, pastries, fruits, coffee, tea. Sam was also nice enough to point out that we could use electrical steamer, so we could have cooked eggs. We greatly appreciate it. Our room and share spaces were spotless. He suggested the Water Prince Corner Shop seafood restaurant, which was great. Excellent location, fast communication. We would love to stay here again.
