Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesMy biggest complaint was the parking situation. Again, this was one of my reasons for choosing this place...."free" parking and easy access to visit downtown by subway. Well, as it turns out you can't actually park at the property, but in the street between 4pm-9am. During the daytime you are told to park down at the grocery store. It is signed everywhere 3 hour maximum parking or your vehicle will be towed. So if you plan to jump on the subway and be gone for the day, you'll have to pay for parking or risk being towed. I brought this to the attention of the host since "free parking" is advertised in the listing. She accommodated and a refund was provided from booking. So, in the end it worked out. But just know up front that if you plan on visiting with a car, you'll have to move it around several times and request a refund if you have parking expenses. Minor complaint, as I mentioned above you are at the mercy of the cleanliness of your fellow guests. However in my stay, I saw no evidence of house cleaning services. Another major concern...the hot water quit working on day 2 so impossible to shower. I understand things happen and it was supposedly being addressed (I checked out before it was fixed), however there are past reviews saying "no hot water", so this has me wondering if there is a larger problem.
I chose this property for location; it is outside of the city, but yes very convenient walk to the subway. Having a good grocery store a block away helped also. I see a lot of mention of many noisy children and Sunday morning sermons....I didn't see anything like this so maybe I was lucky or my timing was good. I was there on a Sunday morning. In general, it is a very nice home, but you get what you get booking a shared living space and are at the mercy of cleanliness and interruptions by the other guests. I believe there are up to 6 rooms available, and while I was there it was myself and 2 other occupied rooms. Access to the bathrooms never presented a problem for me. I never used the downstairs guest kitchen areas.

ItalyThe parking is not great, we had to move the car a couple of times because of limited parking times. There are no shutters and the room gets bright in the morning.
Our room was huge with a super bathroom. We had our privacy despite the fact that it is a shared house.

BREAKFAST PROVIDED, CEREAL PROVIDED AND NOODLES, BUT JUST TAKE COFFEE. A LARGE IMPOSING HOUSE, THATS A 4 MINUTE WALK TO THE MALL, WITH A SUPERMARKET, FOODHALL ETC. TRACY IS ALWAYS ATTENTIVE AND LOOKS AFTER HER GUESTS WELL.

United KingdomThe property is not well sound proofed, the noise from the children of the live in hosts kept us up most mornings from 5am. On Sunday the hosts were playing piano and singing very loudly with the children from 9am. We were disrupted in the mornings and there was a lack of consideration of the noise. Surprisingly this was not caused by the guests but all by the live in hosts and children. If you are wanting a quiet stay without disruptions this may not be the best choice.
The property was clean and well maintained. Nice modern and spacious decor. It’s in a very convenient location near 2 malls and the subway.

BelgiumNo hot water in the bathroom for shaving. No bedside tables with smaller lights in the bedroom. The small bedroom.
We did not eat any meals there. The facility is very modern and very clean but it lacks some amenities. There are no small towels provided, only one bath towel. The bed was small and there are no small side tables in the room. The hot water in the bathroom only dribbles out in drops so hot water for shaving does not exist. One or two small lights in the room would be of benefit. There are only large lights in the ceiling. A TV in the room would be luxury. The building is very nice and with lots of room but the bedrooms are quite small.

AustraliaThe breakfast was very basic, only coffee & tea with creamer was provided. There was no real milk / bread / butter / orange juice. The fridge had not been cleaned out and contained previous guests food, all of which was out of date. We used some left over milk that was a month old, luckily we did not get sick, it did not smell off. This food / fridge issue was reported to Tracy, whom we never met, only comms via What’sApp. By the time we left after 5 nights, the fridge still had not been cleaned. The TV in our room did not work. There was a box of dirty nappies stored in a box outside the back of the house. Totally unacceptable in this AirB&B. The place needed a good clean, in the main lounge area, the settees were dirty, furniture was old and had scribbles on the chairs.
Proximity to the subway / rail network. Close to a shopping area, where we could get food. General appearance of the property was ok, but it felt a bit weird as we felt uncomfortable!

AustraliaDidn’t appreciate the Sunday church service in the downstairs living room, complete with organ and microphone sermon to a congregation of 3. Bedroom needs 2 bedside tables and lamps, a proper top sheet that is the correct size and 2 extra pillows You need to provide proper curtains, not paper stick on ones from IKEA that don’t even cover the windows, let in light and can’t even be raised if you did want to look outside. We couldn’t use the bath. No hand towels or face washers No TV in the bedroom 6 noisy children A sachet of microwave oats is not breakfast

PolandMy god the shower was dirty. No way it was even cleaned this year or maybe someone was washing carpets or dogs there. It completely shattered my confidence that beds and towels were washed but everything else was clean. I hope. It goes beyond human understanding how the shower could be this bad. Didn't use it first night but i just had to close my eyes and shower with slippers on next day because I didn't have a choice. The toilet flush button had feces on it but i will not include that picture ... Breakfast is misleading but i knew about it from other comments. It could be loud but it didn't bother me
