How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Good location near the harbor and its walking path, close to coffee shops, gallery, museum and restaurants (especially Mon Petit Choux for breakfast).

Sofa bed is not very comfy, but i guess all foldable sofa bed is not as good as a regular bed. For a family of three, probably two queen beds room is better than a king + sofa bed.
Location is the best, easy to walk to the beach. Hotel parking is opposite the street, easy to access.

The price could have been better as it did not include laundry or breakfast.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location and kids loved the pool. The room size was also good and very clean. The amenities inside the room were sufficient. Overall great experience.

Room wasn’t ready when we went to check in at 4 they were going to give us a higher floor but it wasn’t ready and then we got bumped down 2 floors to a view of the alley way

We found a pair of dirty socks in the air conditioning of the room. I called reception to signal this and also to ask till what time breakfast was. The lady just put me on hold, not even apologizing - I should have noted down the name. After staying for 15 minutes on the phone, I took my child and we went to the reception desk. The lady was just sitting in a chair relaxing. I complained to her colleague who was really nice. But this was the worst experience we had during our 3 week Canada trip, what terrible customer service!
Convenient location near the ferry terminal. Good sized rooms. Restaurant on site. All staff, except the lady at the reception the night we checked in were very kind.

Very uncomfortable sofa in the room. Weird bedside table set up - looked like they hadn't allowed enough room. Not enough coffee. They only do house keeping every other day. That's fine with me for the linens and towels, but it mean that the bin wasn't emptied and they didn't replace the coffee etc. No regular tea available.
Nice building, room was clean and the bed was big and comfortable. Staff were very helpful. Parking was close by and not too busy even though we were there in August. The location was great, right near the waterfront.

Nothing at all!
The staff went above and beyond as we were celebrating our honeymoon, room upgrade, great view, and little treat left in our room made it extra special.

We did not have breakfast. We loved the Indigenous management and art work throughout the hotel. Beautiful new rooms fantastic location so close to the water. Close parking was great too. The gym was amazing and pool swim too!

Didn’t stay long but it was clean and very comfortable - exactly what you’d expect for a court yard. Can’t say too much about the location because we only did a short walk to a few places - check out the breakfast spot Gabriel’s Cafe it’s delicious

Sofa bed mattress we needed for 3rd person was very saggy in the middle. Should change mattress or provide a board to firm up middle if requested.

Very basic customer service. Cost of breakfast would be cheaper if I didn't include it in the room rate. No windows to open to get air other than AC.

Breakfast is very mid. Wouldn't recommend paying extra for the breakfast. Swimming pool is tiny. Also room deposit of 300 is a bit high for one night. Also you have to pay the deposit for each room.
Spacious and clean room! Nice shower and bathroom. Large TV. Room is really very very good. Great location.
