Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

People in upstairs room were noisy , sounded like shifting furniture around late at night . Shower was a bit cold but maybe that was me not understanding how to work it
It was very clean and great location for why I was visiting Waterloo. The host was very helpful with answering questions before I arrived.

Parking not snow showeled. Fridge in room not functional, smelly. Too expensive for what it is. A hotel would have been better.

Not much to say - the rate was very good (like a high-end hostel)

The room T had its' private shower and the second room Z had the shared shower room with another room. We were not aware of which room has what facility so it confused me a bit about planning, but since were a family, everybody showered in the room T and all was good.
We had kitchen. The shower in the room T was very nice. I missed the host's message to confirm about the need for the parking; after I checked-in, I realized I needed to confirm the parking needs; I texted late into Friday night but the host was very quick to response and accommodate us parking spot. Thank you Titi!

Bed blanket was thin and mattress was harder than expected.

Room is a bit hot in summer, the AC did not work when I was there.
The location is great, close to the Waterloo and TNT market. It is quiet place to stay.

Meets all what I needed in a stay, the bedroom was clean, showers also very well kept. It was near lots of good places and so close to transit (many transit routes). Would have been nice to have a list of near by restaurants, and places to eat and shop. When from out of town, it can be overwhelming to find good places, but like I said, lots of places around.

It is a shared bathroom in a home setting with strangers so there is a lack of privacy - sense of security - compared to a regular hotel stay. A mirror for hair styling and makeup ( in order to minimize the time spent in the shared bathroom) would be a good addition. Also, a spare table / desk (other than the one that holds the TV) for bags / suitcase or laptop would be needed. It’s a big too bare - furniture wise. No AC i think… but a fan.
The most important to me was cleanliness - and it was very clean. There’s plenty of closet space in the room, good curtains and a fan. It was also quiet enough and I did appreciate Netflix access. For those who need it, there is also a shared living room & Kitchen/dinning area. It’s also near a Plaza / Asian Market / Sushi +++

I highly recommend putting a mirror in the bedroom. Had the house been full it would've been impossible to get ready and do hair & makeup in the bedroom without a mirror.

Only 2 things I didn’t like was creaky floors and stairs. The blow dryer needs to be replaced as it is just blowing warm air.
The property was few mins walking distance to a shopping plaza, Memorial recreational complex, pub. I was attending a conference held at Delta Hotel and it was 15-18 mins enjoyable walk along the parkway so it close.

The house is located in a very quiet place. The room is big enough, very clean. The bathroom is very clean also. We didn't use the kitchen, but we noticed that it has everything for cooking. We had a special parking spot, if you have a car you will appreciate it.

Like every townhouse in the country, the house has terrible sound insulation, especially when my roommate came in at 3am and made phone call for two hours and neighbor played music at 6am. I am not a person with insomnia but I could not sleep at all at this place

It’s too expensive for this location. Or breakfast should be included in the price. Location is a bit far from public transport.
It’s a very clean place. I never saw the host, but the instructions to enter the building and required information will be messaged right after the booking. Titi is very responsive and tries to help you as much as possible.
