The proprietor was very friendly and welcoming. He most kindly accommodated my request to change rooms from the front (highway traffic noise) to the quieter back section. (As a senior citizen, the traffic noise would have affected my sleep.). The room was clean and tidy; the amenities were fine. I expect to return in the future. As well, the location was perfect for me; my gathering was just a few miles along the highway.

The smell. Why spray a floral deodorizer? These rooms are always stuffy. Open the windows/door and air the place out.

First and foremost - turn on the lights in the hallway! As a solo female traveler this was a bit horrifying to be stumbling in a dark hall trying to find my room. The locks on the doors are not the best. No creamer/sugar with coffee in room.

Bed was comfortable. Room was quiet. The rooms are clean but because things are quite old you can only do so much with cleaning.

Old, outdated, and messy. Proprietor was pleasant until he became intolerant about requests and his spouse was argumentative in defense. Remote didn’t work well and there were few channels.

WIFI connection in 1st floor very poor. Even though the room was clean and tidy the hall, reception and stairways could need a fresh-up. Need for a cleaner atmosphere.

There’s a parking lot behind the building where the smokers and what seemed like “regular” customers hang out. Every few minutes we would hear a guy hacking spit. Later that night around midnight there were several young people partying in one of the rooms below us and were in and out into the back area to smoke, extremely loud yelling into the night. The hotel was honestly a 9/10 but the people staying here are 4/10 with little regard for other travellers.

I liked the location. Close to Lake Erie as well as town. Many food options within a 5 min drive. Check in was very fast and straightforward. Room and bathroom was clean. Enjoyed the view of nature out the window. Came with all basic amenities including microwave and small fridge. Free wifi is definitely a bonus and was fast enough to stream videos. Beds were quite comfy.

Nothing not to like, as long as you are aware this is an older establishment and 3 stars.

All we needed to have a shower and rest our heads during a motorcycle trip. Super friendly staff, safe, super quiet (after toads went to sleep 🙃), and clean. Only 10 min ride from Port Dover.

The hotel smelled bad as you walked in the door. The water had a fowl odor, I didn't even shower. cigarette burns in the furniture. Furniture very outdated. Hallway on 2nd floor freaked of cigarette smoke. The signs say '' please do not smoke'', they should say ' ' NO SMOKING ' '

Very few tv stations and they cut in and out. Not a smart TV so I couldn't even log on to my Netflix. Parking lot was a sheet of ice very unsafe. Beds were very small and ceiling of shower stall either not cleaned or stained. Doors don't lock automatically behind you.

It was a convenient location for the event I was attending.

Nothing. Had everything that I needed.

Everything was very clean and tidy. Fairly outdated but you can’t go wrong for the price. My room had a fridge, coffee maker and microwave. And the wifi was solid. If you’re looking for a clean place to stay and don’t need a high-end/posh hotel, it’s a good place.
