Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe rooms are quite small and feel outdated. The air conditioner is positioned too close to the bed, and the cool air blows directly onto the person sleeping nearby, which can be uncomfortable.
Excellent location! We requested a river-view room and the view was absolutely stunning. Breakfast had a good variety, and the make-your-own waffle station was a pleasant surprise since some reviews mentioned there were no hot items. The boiled eggs were also a nice touch, giving us a healthy start to the day. Kids enjoyed swimming pool. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others—and would happily stay here again.

CanadaThere was only one small individual size body wash for our entire family. I stayed at this hotel a number of years ago and there were two large hot tubs outside. One has been removed and a weedy planter box put in it’s place. The other needs repair. Big downgrade!
Pool and waterslide.

United StatesWe were at the end of the hotel-furthest away from the front desk. The outside door at the end is ALWAYS locked so we could not get in after walking the dogs and it made unloading the car difficult. I was not given a reason as to why that door was always locked but the others are not. That door is also extremely heavy. I actually was struck in the head/ear by the door and it left a significant bruise that took weeks to heal. I could not let my elderly mom use that door because it was too heavy for her and she could have been seriously injured if it struck her. My elderly mom could not get the room door open due to how heavy it was as well. The porch was a nice feature but the chairs out there were not comfortable at all. The front desk staff seemed to be very inexperienced. It took a really long time to check-in even though I was only the second person in line. When we checked out, the young man working the desk really messed up. He "checked me out" but he actually checked out the wrong room. I noticed the error while looking at my receipt on the way to the car and immediately returned to the desk. Obviously this is concerning when credit cards and financial information are involved. Ironically, when I returned to the desk the person trying to check out belonged to the room that he checked me out of. Eventually everything got straightened out after a significant delay. We did not need the elevator as we had requested a ground floor due to my disabled and elderly mom, but it was out of order. That seemed to be creating some difficulties for other guests. Also, the restrooms in the lobby (at least the women's restroom) was also out of order. Seems that they are not on top of maintenance issues. Finally, if you use the pool they have additional paperwork for you to fill out which greatly increases check-in times. Breakfast was a disappointment...no protein such as eggs.
The room was comfortable and we had plenty of space for two dogs and two humans. Everything worked as expected. The restaurant on site (not affiliated with the hotel) had good food and we enjoyed our dinner. The grounds are fantastic for walking a dog. Lots of green space and the river runs right behind the hotel. There was a beaver family that kept us entertained. The location is good...right on the highway (so you do get some road noise) and just a few minutes from the main town area.

CanadaProperty is dated. We were here couple of years ago and it was in much better shape. It’s a shame they got rid of the Indian restaurant. One right now is quite average. We didn’t like the food. I would suggest to update the hotel website and take off the old restaurant menu selection link as it is misleading. Limited breakfast selection.
Property is very easy to access, right off the highway. Good sized rooms. Beautiful scenery around. Kids enjoyed the pool.

CanadaThe staff at the front desk was unapologetic after we were abruptly awaken from a fire alarm by accident the last morning of our stay. He was simply kind of rude when we brought it up and asked about it. The bath had pink mold all around it. I didn’t want to enter it at all. As well as our shower curtain was ripped.
We loved the view and the restaurant downstairs had very good food.

South AfricaSooo much plastic, this is just not environmentally aware. The breakfast was so disappointing, the resort could spend a bit more, have proper cutlery and crockery and healthier options, or just not provide this meal
Great size room, location was great. Fernie is a typical Rocky mountain town. On Wednesday afternoons they have live music in the town, and we saw some great talent there
