How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Pool water was super cloudy. Also, a clock in the pool area would be great.
The bartender (I believe her name was Stacey?) is what made this hotel superior to the rest. She made our experience here so much more memorable and fun. Will be back, just to talk to her again!

Dining finished at 8pm although there were fast food outlets nearby. Breakfast was a basic buffet
Just off the highway so easy to locate. Rooms were satisfactory and the hotel was quiet. Good choice to stay for an overnight.

THE TOWELS!! Our room had grey color (not white anymore) crunchy towels. Kind of gross to use. Replacement would be great!
Breakfast was good. Location good. Hotel was quiet except for kids running up and down the hall at 10:00 at night.

This hotel exceeded my expectations, particularly for the price we paid. We felt as though we have gotten much less from other hotels we have stayed at for double the price (or more). We were looking for a pet friendly place to stay with our dog for the first time. The hotel was clean, the staff were very friendly and the room was very comfortable. Though the building itself is clearly not new, the hotel felt as though it had undergone some recent upgrades. Everything felt very fresh and well-maintained. We got the sense that they took pride in their establishment. We were happy with the breakfast (a pretty standard hotel breakfast with toast, cereal, waffles, scrambled eggs, ham and a few other things) and took the opportunity to check out the pool before leaving in the morning. The pool itself could use a repainting and the water was cool (cooler than expected for a “heated pool”), but we were impressed by the nice, clean sitting area and change rooms outside the pool. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our one-night stay at Quality Hotel in Gander and would go back without hesitation. It will be our go-to place for any future stays in Gander.

We had a problem with the heater,for some reason when it got warm the heater would blow cool air then the room cold off.Also the flush box needs to be repaired .
It was clean and it had all the amenities you needed.

Nothing really comes to mind. The gym is pretty small, couid use a couple of kettlebells, however that isn't a priority for a traveller.
The location off the TCH was convenient, and whether you choose to walk around Gander or drive, it was well situated. The breakfast was pretty good, the bar was decently stocked, and staff were quite cheerful. Ifs a good bade for heading up to areas like Twillingate.

The rug in our room needed some cleaning attention, but wasn’t too bad

More fruit and bran cereals. More choices of eggs eg omelettes.
The breakfast was adequate but we would have preferred more healthy options such as fruit and bran. Nice bread and coffee. The dinners were very good, nice choices and great value.

The breakfast was very basic, waffles, toast, cereal, scrambled eggs and sausage. Quality of food could be upgraded.While the hotel is clean , it is showing it's age.
Right on the highway, no noise at the rear of the hotel. Lots of parking.
