Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe restaurant had a very limited menu & the breakfast times were also limited, the parking was very confusing between the hotel & the discovery centre.
The room was awesome! We could watch the glacier change over the evening from our beds! Beds were very comfortable & couldn’t get a better location.

CanadaThat fact you don’t have a tesla supercharger on site. It distracts alot of people from staying there. We had to turn back halfway and do a full charge in jasper and come back by midnight for check in. Very upsetting and we probably not come back.
How close it was to our tour

AustraliaWe had an enjoyable stay here until we were by a young guy supervising bus arrivals. We happened to walk the wrong way but were already at the door to the hotel and perfectly safe. There were no signs saying no pedestrians. He abused us at the top of his voice in front of queues of people and then tried to justify his abuse to those standing around. We were totally shocked and very upset , We’d just had a great morning on the glacier and we are now totally upset. We could not believe that our peace could have been so badly disrupted. Could he not have not come over to us calmly and explained the situation. The thing is we were safe and we would never be back. So why did he bother? As guests of the hotel, we felt very badly treated. The employee in question initially did not show us due respect and towards the end of his tirade towards us and others waiting for a bus, I let him know that we were unhappy with his behaviour.
Location and most staff. One supervisor did not deal with our issue appropriately- no apology and simply ‘gaslighting’ us.

NetherlandsThe restaurant is not what we expected for a hotel that is charging 5 star prices. The staff made up for this by being friendly and providing great service.
The location is marvelous. The view towards the glacier is magnificent and the room was comfortable and clean.

United KingdomWas quite expensive for what you got. Rooms advertised as for 2 even though more could have fitted in the room (we didn’t need to book the 2 rooms for the 4 of us).
Great views of the Athabasca Glacier and easy to take the early morning tours. Rooms were large and could have easily fitted 4 people in our room.

New ZealandAircon temp is set by the management. if you're too hot or too cold you can't adjust the room temperature. A $200 bond seems excessive for a one night stay. No cheaper options for food other than expensive restaurants. A small grocery section in the shop would be a good idea.
Beautiful setting, bed was comfortable, room was clean. Complimentary Happy Hour was nice but the gin was barely noticeable in the drinks.

CanadaIt was quite pricey, but there are no other options around.
Very clean and comfortable room. Had lots of extras - ice soaps, yoga mat, robes, and an excellent view of the glacier. Good coffee machine in the lobby that is self serve.

CanadaThe accommodation was overly priced for what you got. The room felt like a dorm room. Nice enough. The noise from the hallway was very loud. Unless you got a room with glacier view, the views from the back side of the lodge were ugly. Our room looked on to the garbage and storage area of the lodge. Not quite worth the money spent on accommodation.
The location of this property is absolutely stunning although the location of our actual room was absolutely horrible. The view from our window was ugly. We backed on to the back where we could see the garbage and storage of the lodge.

New ZealandExtremely disappointed. hugely dissatisfied given the money we had paid. This was to be a significant wedding anniversary celebration. Our room had a view of the garbage bins. No opportunity to upgrade when we asked staff. When my husband checked on line there were rooms with a view available. We did get a change of room to look over the glacier, the room smelt of mold and some of the shower products hadn't been refilled, also a towel with a rip in it! The check in area is the glacier view lounge. Charcuterie board and cocktails. Fabulous charcuterie board, cocktailsl was awful. We had no privacy from staff as this was also check in area. Later a Chinese Family set up a full blown buffet in the only lounge area which sent us bk to our room. The staff were more focused on the non paying guests on a marketing property familiarisation. We do stay at luxury properties and this experience was not great. Altitude restaurant we had good service, food nice but not outstanding
The view and location . That's where it stopped.

GermanyThe room was cold and not adjustable (which I see many others have fed back already so a shame it hasn’t been fixed), hotel was showing wear and tear - dirty corridors, and the water pressure was terrible.
The main draw for this hotel is the wonderful location at the glacier. The room was large and bed was comfortable.

Singaporecheck in & out were both very slow, room was also extremely cold (centralised heating, would not recommend doing it that way), door heavy but seems to have backfired since we could hear others' doors slam (as well as when they walked and talked in the corridor)
location was great (2/3 of the way from banff to jasper is a nice stop point), amenities were great (restaurants, gift shop), included tours were value for money & superbly private (unlike other public tour timings), parking was on-site and plentiful
