Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Providing hair conditioner as well as shampoo would be good.
Fernando and Donna are consummate professional hosts - you could not get better and Fernando’s breakfasts are an absolute treat prepared with love and skill.

No dislikes.
The property has beautifully decorated spacious rooms that are very comfortable. The outside sitting area is lovely. The hosts are warm, wonderful, and accommodating. The breakfasts are outstanding.

Beautiful property and gardens with a very relaxing and welcoming vibe. The breakfast was scrumptious and presented beautifully. The hosts were very helpful with suggestions on local attractions and how to get there. Will definitely visit again!

The location was excellent. We enjoyed the walk into historical Niagara. The restaurants were lovely and the property breakfast exceeded expectations. The host was kind and efficient and an excellent chef.

Bed was a little creaky, that's about it.
Host was very friendly and helpful, breakfasts were great and different each day, cooked from scratch. Room was comfortable and affordable, good value for money.

The home is clean and comfortable. The location is in a quiet area of town, but a short walk to shopping and restaurants. Several wineries were a short drive away. The host made sure we had everything we needed, and the breakfasts were amazing!

I would like to have been asked if ingredients OK in breakfast. Surprise is fun, unless you don't eat bacon or like.
Fernando provided a complete and wholesome breakfast. A full carafe of coffee ready as I sat. The fruit and main course was beautifully presented. The atmosphere was beautiful, breakfast in the garden one day. I loved the culturally diverse music playing gently in the background. Fernando answered all my questions offering excellent guiDANCE. Best location on my 24 day Road Trip. I loved having a main floor room.

The location is very dark at night and a lighted sign at the B&B or a coach light at the bottom of the driveway would be helpful. Other guests mentioned same.
Fernando was the perfect host, and we enjoyed our conversations with him. The breakfasts were superb. We loved the fruit salad, freshly made orange juice and the omelets were delicious as well as the eggs benedict. Globetrotters is located on a quiet street, and we had a very enjoyable stay in our spacious and very clean room. The bed was comfortable, and the washroom had an excellent shower. It is a beautiful home in a lovely neighborhood with only three bedrooms for guests, so it is very quiet. Great for couples and seniors. We both loved the artwork and the works of art from exotic locations throughout the house. Not far from the wineries, the Shaw festival Theatre, Fort George and beautiful downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake.

We couldn’t lock our door when we went out, which was a little unnerving.
We had a nice, clean, comfortable room, as well as lovely sitting areas inside and out, but the gourmet breakfasts were the real highlight. Superbly prepared and presented, it was the perfect way to start the day.

So comfortable, quiet, well appointed and just far enough from downtown to be a good walk and keep us out of the fray. The breakfasts were fabulous - much more than we expected. Eggs Benedict our first morning, French toast the next. Made fresh, and served with homemade croissants & fresh fruit.

Basically everything was up to standards. The owners are hospitality professionals and it shows. The place is clean and beautifully decorated with a special attention to details. Breakfast was good with fresh local products.
