How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewEverything! The view, the amenities, the unique experience. We ordered one of the Coldstream packages and stopped at the grocery store before checking in. We were able to grill dinner and relax and enjoy the outdoors. The hosts really thought of everything.

Verified reviewThe dome was very clean, comfortable and had an absolutely amazing view. We were able to cook all of our meals in the kitchen and using the outdoor grill. We enjoyed the hot tub and most of all the view. The views of the river are stunning and we had bald eagles soaring over us while we enjoyed the hot tub. We were close to Burntcoat Head Park and enjoyed seeing the incredible tides and the beauty of the bay. The setting is serene and quiet and very relaxing
There really isn't anything not to like about this place. Just be aware that you are quite a distance from restaurants, we knew this ahead of time and planned accordingly. There really isn't anything to dislike about this place. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful place to relax and unwind.

Verified reviewIt is a beautiful, out of the way place to stay. The hot tub was delightful.
Unfortunately, the domes are close together and we could hear whole conversations from our neighbors.

Verified reviewWonderful accommodation, comfortable, well equipped. A great location and a brilliant hot tub. Don't forget to close the overhead flap on the dome or be prepared for an early awakening!

Verified reviewNicely furnished. Comfortable
The site is very small so every noise your neighbour makes you hear. We had people in the hot tub till midnight and others back in at 5.30am. This really spoiled our trip. Some guidance from the owners on acceptable noise levels would be good. They had half a dozen notices about smoking after all

Door lock sticks, some bushes blocked view of river

Verified reviewThe hot tub, access to the bay of Fundy with its tidal bore and extreme tides. Beautiful views across the river and the experience of being in a dome. Loved the experience. Unfortunately, there were no eagle sightings for us.
In the Kayla Dome, there is no comfortable chair. There is a table and chairs available, but the chairs are uncomfortable to sit. The microwave is on top of the fridge and not convenient to access.

Verified reviewThe view is very nice and the dome itself was fantastic, really fun. Loved the design and cool decor. Clean and very comfy, we slept well. Hot tub was a bonus. Overall just a peaceful and pretty spot to watch the tidal waters while feeling very camping-spoiled.
Just a few Little things: Firepit, flaps, hot plate, neighbor's kids. Firepit: Wouldn't start so we let the owner know and enjoyed the barbecue anyway. Dome Flaps: We had looked forward to looking up at the stars from the bed but the flaps were closed and there were no instructions for opening. The next day we found the pole (magnetic) tucked by the bathroom but when we lowered the flaps out fell a small assortment of bug skeletons! So we put the flaps back up. Hey, it was cloudy anyway! (The place was very clean otherwise.) Hot plate: IQ test fail! It took us 15 minutes to figure out one must leave the pot or pan On the burner for it to turn on. A notation in the book would be nice. Neighbor's: No fault of the owners, a family had rented the two domes beside ours with their loud and very foul mouthed kids staying in the one next to us. They quieted down when we asked them to however. Thank goodness for the privacy screens--nice touch!

Verified reviewAfter finding this online, I planned my trip around staying in this domes and I’m so glad I did. We spent hours sitting outside at the fire pit watching the river. The dome felt big and luxurious, as advertised.
Since we were outside on a river, there were mosquitoes. Not a complaint because we should have realized that would be the case and it wasn’t so bad as to take away from our experience, but make sure to take some with you.

Verified reviewUnique and charming experience to stay in a geodome, especially one that overlooks the tidal waters and has its own hot tub, kitchen, and shower. There was lovely small amenities that were not expected.
Be aware that there are NO restaurants in this area and you would be wise to bring your own breakfast / dinner foods with you. Your dome will have all you need to store and prep food.

Verified reviewView out the dome from your bed was like sleeping in Nature itself. The thoughtful touches that the owners added. Nice shower. Great to have WiFi.
Awareness that there are not a lot of restaurants in the area and to know that you can bring your own food and cook it in the dome. Otherwise, you will be very hungry.

Verified reviewWe loved the beautiful placement of the domes......the privacy and the view was amazing ever-changing with the flow of the Bay of Fundy at your doorstep. The dome was cozy and had the best sleep. The hot tub is such a great addition and so relaxing ...was able to enjoy in the evening and watched the sunrise with a coffee in hand.
It's not that I disliked anything.....but was not aware of food availability in close proximity. I would definitely advise to do your grocery shopping before hand.

Verified reviewThe location was brilliant, and as a new experience it was good. It was also lovely to lay in bed and look out at the starts during the night, and watch the sun rise in the morning.
Unfortunately our Dome - Number 4, was not sealed well against condensation and water. Upon entering we noticed waker seeping through the gaps/edges of the floor laminate boards as you walked across them. This caused the floor to be quiet slippery. As the temperature dropped outside, condensation drips formed on the walls and ceiling and dropped to the floor. There was also several hand size areas of mould on the wall on the outside of the bathroom behind the sliding bathroom door, which we think was water leaking through from the shower on the other side. Not hygienic and safe at all. We adjusted the heat pump to be on the Dry setting, and increased the heat temperature setting to help dry the wet areas on the floor, which we noticed the following morning had worked. But as soon as we walked on the floor boards again, the water underneath them seeped through the edges again. In the morning we also noticed the spare toilet paper roll which sat at the open base of the toilet paper stand, had been nibbled at by some sort of critter during the night. So the Dome was not sealed properly from rodents etc entering.
We are so sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience during your stay in our dome. As soon as we became aware of any issues, we closed down the dome and did extensive repairs - replaced the stone walkway to correct the flow of rainwater, replaced the flooring, as well as removed and resealed the dome covering to ensure no water could get into the dome. We know this doesn't help with what you experienced but hopefully if you are ever in the area, will give us another chance.
