Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe location was excellent, initially the room was very good until, in the evening our toilet wouldn't flush, a bit of a problem. Staff were there quickly but unfortunately not able to make it functional. So, I had to trek up a floor to a very public area (the entrance foyer) to use the toilet. They agreed to move us but that move didn't happen until after 3:00 the following day so we waited in our room, without a toilet to be moved. Staff were all friendly and they tried really hard to address our problem but we were only there for 2 nights and felt we'd wasted a bit part of it waiting as they couldn't give us a time that we'd get into our new room.
Location, excellent. Breakfast really good. Dinner good as well. Staff were friendly and tried to help. The room was spacious and comfortable if it hadn't been for the toilet.....

GermanyI booked a sea view and I had unfortunately a view on the renovation of the road under the hotel. The sea vie was destroy by that. Very noisy in the morning during week days due to the construction near by the hotel. Except that it was perfect.
The localisation. The view from the restaurant.

CanadaThe bar bistro in hotel can be a very busy place. As a result the hotel parking lot got filled and we had to park off property for several hours until the lot emptied. Paying guests should be guaranteed a spot in lot and not have to search for street parking.
Terrific location on St Lawrence and only 5 minutes from Matane ferry. Very friendly and helpful staff.

CanadaWhen a room is rented to two guests I think that it is important that there be two armchairs, two robes, lamps on both sides of one bed. This hotel did not meet all of these expectations. We also paid for a water view and although we did have one we also had some unattractive things outside our window ...a panel van with an extension ladder, some sort of plywood panels lying on the ground. It looked like a staging area for construction work. Not what I would have paid extra for. We also felt that the restaurant did not offer a comfortable dining experience. We were crammed into one end of a bar. I would have expected a finer dining experience in such a hotel. The music was loud and sometimes unpleasant, we were right by the door to the patio that was being used for guests who wished to go outside (it was freezing out). The food was good (but I was brought a meal that I did not order).
The room was comfortable, as were the bed and pillows. Nice linen. A historic hotel right by the majestic fleuve Saint Laurent. Front desk staff very good and pleasant.

CanadaBreakfast would have been good had it been hot. It took a long time to get our order. Tea was lukewarm like the water had come the hot water tap and when we asked for more “boiling water” it was the same.

PolandBreakfast is not included in the room rate. The breakfast restaurant does not belong to the hotel, and it is necessary to pay for it separately - in case you come for breakfast without your credit card or cash you have a problem. There is no drinking water in the room - neither free nor for purchase. The hotel's parking lot become full fast, it is difficult to find a parking spot. The hotel is not able or not willing to modify your data on the hotel bill, in case you travel for business and need a copmeny name on the bill they refuse to do it.
Stylish, comfortable, well-located hotel - directly on the beach close to restaurants, shops, and aluminium plant.

CanadaThat we could only check in at 6pm when our booking was set for 3pm, making us late to the concert that we were going to see. They were short staffed and so the room was not ready as suppose to be for 3pm. We did not get a discount or any accommodations for this. The beds were rock hard and left me with a sleepless night.

MoroccoTennis court was so funny, unable to be used, no net, potholes over court. It also noted a spa at the hotel wich when looked up said it was permanently closed. Gym equipement was hidden in a room that we couldn’t use. Over all a fine stay but not overwhelmed by anything. Staff nice but didn’t care to point out things to do in the area when we were clear tourists, no info cards in the hotel either.
Staff absolutely lovely, but food from the restaurant was ok. Typically American style, I ordered the ‘Scandinavian Breakfast’ it said cream cheese and salmon. It was eggs covered in a runny cheese sauce, didn’t look or taste too good. We went to breakfast at ‘Blues’ done the road the next day. Cocktails ok, dinner food ok. Over all fine room.

CanadaThe staff is terrible. There should be some understanding when travellers have issues on the road / get lost. We tried to move our reservation so we would not loose 300 dollars and not a single accommodation could be made. Rigid and pathetic customer service.
Nothing. We did not stay. We got lost and did not make our reservation.

CanadaWe don’t have much we disliked, except some bits of the room that were rundown or so old they squeaked when moved. We were aware this is a historical site though, so we’re not too bothered
It was incredibly clean and the room was a great size for a family of four. The location was perfect for us as we were on a roadtrip, and it was cozy given the TV, fridge, and cabinet spacing.
