The only thing we didn't like is: Lloydminster is not that much of a tourist center, and rooms in its hotels (even with a Whirlpool) should not cost $200 a night!

We came from Edmonton to spend a weekend at Sandy Beach recreational area. It was very nice, 15 km from the city, well maintained and the swims both days were pleasant. The lake is deep and mostly clear of weeds. We also took time to walk in Bud Miller All Seasons Park, which was nice and refreshing. The hotel was conveniently located at the entrance to the city on Highway 16. The staff was very welcoming. The room was very clean. The King size bed and the Whirlpool in the room were gorgeous. There was good Wi-Fi and free parking. The Brown's Socialhouse restaurant right across the parking lot was very nice, with tasty meals and good service. We took a northern route from Edmonton to Lloydminster, which is very little travelled. It parted from Highway 16 in Vegreville and eventually joined Highway 17. Even though 40 km of it are only gravel-paved, it was a very nice drive, especially as we approached the AB-SK border. There was scenery where we didn't expect to find it. We will come there again to explore it more.

The bed was an old mattress on both our queen beds and was not at all comfortable. Neither my daughter or I had a good comfortable sleep.

Breakfast was good, location and access are great. In the rooms I appreciated the available outlets for charging and plugging in devices.

An earlier check-in time to make more use of the pool would be nice. However, on our stays we were allowed to check in early.

We have stayed at this hotel before and chose it again because of its cleanliness, nice warm pool and good breakfast. It is also convenient for us due to its location at the west end of Lloyd.

This is a nice hotel - the room was nice and clean, staff were pleasant, breakfast was very good, and the location was great - quiet area, with restaurants and shopping nearby.

Bed mattress was not the best. Pillows didn’t provide any neck support. Sound proofing between rooms. I could hear the snoring of the guest next to me 😊

Breakfast was decent. Front desk staff were very polite and cheerful. Hotel layout is really nice. Hotel decor is really nice. Hotel is well maintained and very clean.

There was road construction adjacent to the hotel which caused issues when leaving the hotel. I realize this is not the hotel’s fault, however I feel the city could have managed the road construction differently so it wouldn’t have caused the traffic to back up so badly into the parking lot.

Our room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast had many options and the staff kept it well stocked.

I was not impressed with the breakfast, bagels were stale. Sausage patties were hard.

Would have liked to stream a streaming service (e.g., Netflix) on the tv as I was able to at other hotels.

Small things that bothered me, but I would stay again. There was no conditioner in the shower. Only shampoo and body wash in large containers. Realized this too late to ask for some. The bathroom door also needs re-painting as the bottom half the paint was peeling off. I found the comforter fine, but my husband didn’t like the texture of it.

The few things they could improve on are the quality of their paper goods (Kleenex/toilet paper) were terrible especially for the cost of the room. Also the room coffee and the coffee at the breakfast was pretty weak.

Our room was very clean and the beds was super comfortable. We also thought the breakfast was good. The location was great and we were close to some excellent restaurants within a quick walk.

I booked my hotel a month in advance and I went to check in and they couldn't find my reservation so I had to sit on the phone for 20 minutes to get it resolved
