How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Expensive for what you get but I guess it's because of the location
Simple motel in lake louise village, 10 min drive from the lake. Showers in the floor, Toilet in the room for private room (not dorms). Clean, good restaurant Good communal kitchen, laundry

The room was very compact but it was not comfortable to move around with more that 2 in the lower floor. The stairs to the upper bunkers were steep and hard to get down from. The room had minimal air conditioning facilities with only a fan for the upper bunkers.
The hostel was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was kept neat and the hostel was only 15 min drive away from lake louise and the gondola.

Showers were a little unkept at time - just needed more bath mats available.
We stayed in a private room and a shared room - we definitely recommend staying in a private room if possible (on par with staying in a hotel).

Too expensive for a hostel but all are like this in Lake Louise. It is a hostel so no lift and shower in room.
Staff were excellent and responded immediately whenever I contacted them. Two dollar bus to the lake was useful and very convenient

The fact that you could hear the room above 204, whose occupants were moving about heavily between 04:00 and 07:30 ish. Perhaps they were employees or people catching early flights?The sound of doors closing heavily. Could do with soft closings or ask people to be considerate.

Very close to the train tracks. Not an issue for me but when booking you should be aware.
Close to everything and better priced than the surrounding accommodations. Still expensive for a hostel, but it's Lake Louise.

Did not know what to expect from this hostel and was pleasantly surprised. the room was comfortable and clean. it was quiet when we stayed. Staff were helpful and friendly. We also ate there and the food was amazing!!

For what it was, nothing. Showers and toilets, although not en suite, all convenient and clean and nearby. Great sized kitchen, which we did not use.
Great family room with bunk beds and double for the adults. Mattresses firm and extremey comfortable - great night's sleep. Location fantastic - near enought tohike to Lake Louise, but also a convenient bus to the Lake from just outside the hostel.

Very good location in the area. Local bus stop was very close and the on site facility was good. Attached restaurant was good value and nice food.

The approach stairs and ramps were worn out and didn't present a nice first impression.
I was expecting a backpacker hostel with no amenities, but this place had everything! Good restaurant, excellent kitchen facilities, clean and comfortable rooms with middle to high quality bedding and ensuite sink and toilet. Private shower room right across the hall was big and had plenty of hot water

Nothing to complain about except the price and disrespectful guests at nights. My room was right next to the entrance door. Poor choice lol

I wish the walls were a little bit more soundproof as you can currently hear noises in the hallways or even people speaking in the room next door. Thankfully there wasn’t too much noise!
The room had everything I needed, the bathrooms are well equipped too. And the hostel has a restaurant opened for long hours so that’s cool too!

Bed was a bit hard. Train noise (not their fault though)
The licensed restaurant on site and the way the deck overlooks gardens where squirrels play. Also a short walk to the supermarket and the public bus to Lake Louise stops right out the front. The staff were friendly especially on reception and restaurant.
