Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We were there on a really hot day so air con would have been great to have.
Great B&B in a quiet street with a lovely host. House was immaculate and a fabulous breakfast was included. A good place to stay if you are visiting Grey Wells Provincial Park.

There is admittedly not much to do in clearwater itself and food options are quite limited, so definitely more of a stopover option. Other than the bed, the seating in the room is more for decoration than for comfort. A sofa/small couch would've been nice as a sitting option. The house itself is also quite old, so just expected older sinks/faucets/showers. Floors are also quite thin.
Great value for money and the host is very sweet. You'll literally be staying in her house. Bonus if you like vintage decor because it's a living museum. We got upgraded for free to a bigger room with an en suite. Well stocked towels, extra blankets, everything was very clean. Wifi is included. Nice that the windows have a bug screen so that we can circulate air during the night (not sure if a fan will be included during summer stays but it was cool enough in the fall). We had a simple breakfast (granola, yoghurt, tea/coffee, eggs, toast) with the lovely host . This location is also close to wells gray provincial park that has nice hiking trails. The neighbourhood is also very safe and we were pleasantly surprised by how no one seems to lock their doors

We loved the home and the hostess! The bedroom was lovely and so was the entire home. Breakfast was satisfactory. Hostess was friendly and welcoming.

Walking distance to town (groceries and restaurants). Easy access to Wells Grey park. Comfy bed! The house was cool despite the hot temperatures.

Clean and comfortable. Doris and Riley were wonderful. Enjoyed watching the Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley cup play offs with them. Lovely deck in the backyard to wind down after a busy day at Wells Gray provincial park. Good breakfast. Definitely recommend

We had a lovely stay at Doris' Hummingbird B&B. Checked in and took the chance to see some of the waterfalls of Clearwater in nearby Wells Gray Provincial Park. We had a comfortable bed and the shared bathroom was nicely decorated. In the morning, Doris prepared breakfast for us and we had a nice chat. We'll definitely stay here again the next time we're in the area.

It was close to the Wells Grey park , as well as being a good distance towards Jasper for our next days travel. Breakfast was included. It was in a nice , quiet area away from road noise.

The bedroom isn't too spacious.
Doris the hosting lady is really friendly, especially if you stay for 2-3 days and you have the time to get to know her better. We had a lot of nice conversations with her and learned a lot about the area and its history, definitely would come again ;-) There are plenty of nice waterfalls to see in the surrounding area where you can walk to.

We couldn’t see a sign or house number from the road (in winter) so we drove past it a few times before we could park.
