We had a great stay at Elaine's. It was as described, and comfortable for us! Quite simple but that's all we needed. The breakfast was nice as well and Elaine is such a lovely host.

Honestly has no complaints.

Owner very helpful and friendly. Room very home like, comfortable bed and very clean. Even though it's a house, room entrance was at the back of the house with driveway and private entrance. I would stay here again.

We stayed in the bedroom/bathroom only suite (no kitchen attached) and it was quite small. There was use of another kitchen around the other side of the house. Kettle in room but no mugs. Pillows were very thin and flat, could use some newer or extra.

lovely location. Elaine is welcoming and very friendly. Breakfast both days was tasty and freshly made. She was willing to add a sofa bed to our reservation when we arrived. very helpful for local dining and things to see. There were a couple of minor things in the bathroom - toilet ran after flushing & no extra toilet paper. Both minor issues and as soon as Elaine heard about them, they were resolved. so was great.

Not very soundproof. Could easily hear neighbouring room conversation and tv's.

Easy to find. Close to restaurants for supper. Nice breakfast with fruit, egg, bacon and Chinese dumplings.

The front door was locked, so I had to call the host to let me in. The breakfast was small and no choices. I did not like leaving my room to use the bathroom especially to bath in a house that is not private. The house is not sound proof and my room was in the basement with other guests, so I heard every noise until late. I was asked to remove my shoes at the front door yet no house shoes were provided, so I was expected to walk barefoot down the hallway (hardwood floors) to the toilet or bathroom. I did not see the other guests' shoes at the entrance. The host spent minutes deciding whether to give me the security code for my room or not. ....a little disturbing.

The housekeeping is impeccable. Never seen a hotel even 5 star hotels that clean. Nice & quiet neighborhood

There were no cups or glasses in the room to even get a glass of water etc. there is a small accessible dining area that has cups etc but the instructions on how to access this area weren’t clear. Breakfast is served at 0830 and was quite good but options for earlier dining were lacking if you want to get an early start. Access to our room was in a dark location and would benefit from a motion activated exterior light.

The location for our purpose was great. The host is friendly and accommodating. The value for your money is great as long as you are aware of what the property is and isn’t.
