Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. There were only 2 very thin and soft pillows. It would have been nice to have 2 more pillows. There were only 2 bath towels provided. It would have been helpful to have 2 face cloths as well.
The location was great and the room was large. Entry was easy and convenient. The bed was comfortable and the linens clean.

Having to tiptoe around so as not to wake others.
Exterior of the house could use some TLC but room was very nice. We didn’t realize until the day of arrival that other guests were in rooms within the house. No big deal, we just felt a bit pressured to keep quieter, especially since we were leaving very early in the morning. Still happy with the place overall. Fine for one night stay.

The washroom sink doesn’t drain properly. Should be unclogged before the guests come.
Clean and Smart TV! Good policy to feel quiet and sleep well!! The instructions for check in were prompt and straight forward.

There was only one thin pillow per person. Furnishings were minimal and cheap. There was a rickety little desk with a cheap plastic chair. There was a nice balcony, but no chairs (we borrowed two plastic chairs from the kitchen in order to sit on the balcony).
The Room was very clean. The residential area was quiet. The common kitchen was well equipped and it had a washer and dryer. (We did not use the kitchen.) It was fine for a one night stay. We did see pictures of the property before booking, so there were really no surprises.

Some people had no respect making noise at 3:00 in the morning , slamming doors .

The host requested ID to be emailed because it’s self-check-in. I would appreciate if my details are deleted ASAP. There is a gas cooker in the kitchen, which makes me nervous. The pillows are too small and thin. I asked for cancellation once being asked to email the ID but was refused. I ended up with a sleepless night because of the issues.

Too many road closures but that's not on the room. I have no complaints. My original thought was to stay at Georgian College but this place was better value.
I was dead tired after riding my loaded bicycle 86 km. After I got everything into the room took a long hot shower, had a nap and ordered a door dash dinner. Watched a Netflix show and had an early bedtime. Left next morning at 7:30, breakfast at Tim Hortons.

We were waiting for hours to checking in. It was a self Check in and no credentials were shared on time. We were on calls with the booking platform for hours. Issues were not resolved till the end.

There was no breakfast. We were very pleased with everything. The place was super clean, and the private bathroom was nice to have. The location was easy to get to and close to our son's home.

I was concerned about the parking so I got there super early to get a spot , as I was worried I wouldn't have somewhere to park my car Turns out nobody parked behind me so that was good However I would appreciate a guaranteed spot when booking
The room was very nice and spacious I like that I had a Keyless entry lock on my door , it made me feel more secure The room was very clean ,modern and stylish Also there was a communal kitchen with supplies which was handy if you wanted to cook I hadn't planned on that but will remember for future Having laundry facilities was comforting although I did not use I really enjoyed staying there and will definitely come back again

I was locked out of my room and depended on help from other visitors as to code for room and giving government ID. Mold in shower could be easily cleaned. Doorknobs falling off. Steps to upstairs were very dangerous....would never have been approved by building inspector
