The first morning of my 4 night stay, I was awoken by the sound of heavy traffic on the busy street but by the second night the sound was simply white noise and was not an issue.

The host was very accommodating. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. Having the small kitchenette in the room was very much appreciated. I could keep basic necessities for breakfast (yogourt, cheese, fruit) in the small fridge and could heat things like soup in the microwave. The coffee maker was easy to use and coffee/tea/hot chocolate was graciously provided. Sharing the bathroom with one other person was not an issue as it was kept exceptionally clean. I will definitely be staying again when I am back in Hamilton. The central location can not be beat!

I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever.

I went on a trip from Australia through Sri Lanka, the UK and Iceland to get here but this was the very first part of my journey that I booked before anything else including flights even though I'd never been to Canada before. I could not have been more satisfied with my booking. The location was excellent and the facilities in the room were much more than what I was expecting with the provision of snacks and drinks in the room at no extra cost. Even though I didn't use it this visit, there was also a microwave. Would recommend learning how to use a Keurig as I'd heard of them but never used one, had to look up a video on YouTube. The specific room I had (Number 1) overlooked the driveway so I could look outside and see when my lift arrived each day without having to wait outside in the cold. Also, the room was huge and much bigger than I was expecting and was well heated. I also had no issue with noise. I would also highly recommend not only reading any guest books in the room to see all the past guests who've stayed there with no end of well-deserved effusive praise but also to add your own entry. I found everything about my location that I saw to be really, really nice. Also, please do keep in mind that even though there's a very wide and generous range of arrival times, to arrive during these times as you have to be checked in in person. Communication via the messaging through the booking.com site was very good. Finally, make sure your keys are on your person so you don't accidentally lock yourself out and in my case, I made sure to attach an AirTag to it so I didn't have a similar mishap than what I did in Iceland with a very similar set of keys!

Had tons of character and was in a great location. Cannot beat it for the price. Honestly, you’d be hard pressed to find something comparable for 3 times as much…

Everything was great

It was a large room in an old house, with great a/c. The shared bathroom wasn’t a problem at all. The rate was cheaper than any hotel in the city. Host greeted us and was available - but we had no problems. Very close to everything in the city.

I felt safe and comfortable. Just like staying in a nice home. I was going to Dr appointments and only had a short walk to the Hospital. The room was very big. They had snacks even! Very organized, clean and comfortable. My new favorite spot to stay when coming to Hamilton!

Would prefer bathroom closer to room, but not much could be done about that.

Large, seven-sided room in a lovely old home. Busy street outside, quiet inside. Very comfortable bed. Comfy armchairs. Large bathroom with good shower. Appreciated the snacks. Ample parking. Despite being on a busy noisy road, it was quiet and restful in our room.

The home decor is dated.

Location worked nicely for Around the Bay Road Race expo and race morning at Tim Hortons Field, as we used the municipal bike share program and the closest station for that was only a 6-minute walk away. Other positives we noticed: bed was very comfortable, room had huge windows with a decent view, room was well furnished, shared bathroom was spacious and clean, towels provided, parking space was provided, etc.
