Shared amenities, eg pool and hot tub, were somewhat of a walk away, at the Prince of Wales hotel, where changing facilies were limited to one oversize washroom. There was nowhere to leave clothes. There was no dining room, even just for breakfast.

Nice room, great location, friendly and helpful staff. Free parking. Moffat is a quaint and charming hotel.

    AC was a bit noisy

Large, comfortable room. Superb water pressure in the shower. Nice toiletries. Fridge, Keurig coffee maker, ice, easy to control the climate, large, fluffy bathrobes, large, soft bath towels, lots of light from three large windows looking out on the main street, very quiet. Free parking. 4 minute walk to Festival Theatre.

Our only minor concern were the stairs; our room was on the second floor. There were handrails and carpeting to make the climbs easier.

The Moffatt Inn is perfectly situated just down the street from the Prince of Wales Inn. The parking is easy, and the location is quiet and lovely. While the stairs were a bit steep, the staff was quick to bring us ice and bottled water, saving us an additional trip up-and-down. Everyone was courteous and efficient. As 2 elderly women we felt safe and looked after.

The coffee maker didn’t work and we put a great deal of effort into trying to get it to work. I did tell them at the desk.

The hotel and parking was so close to everything! Lovely room. The staff was excellent!

Help with luggage as there was no elevator.

The staff was very welcoming although there was no offer of help with luggage and no elevator. Keurig coffee always available. I was there to see plays at the Shaw Festival. It is the closest hotel to the theaters. It may have been a woman-owned business. A positive!

The carpet in my room seemed to have permanent stains on it, and the doors underneath the bathroom sink would not close properly. The blinds in the bathroom (the vertical handle) detached a few times because it was not very secure. The iron board cover needs to be replaced. It was old and kept falling off when I was ironing my clothes. The first night that I stayed, I noticed that I was given 2 decaf coffee pods. The 2nd night I was given a decaf and caffeinated coffee. It was probably an error on the part of the cleaner. I was surprised that the cleaner didn’t sweep the bathroom floor. My suitcase tracked some dirt, and debris in the bathroom and the cleaner never swept the floor up.

I love the location. It’s right in the centre of all the action. Just footsteps from all the stores, Simcoe Park, a beach, and Fort George. The accommodations are cozy, and the rooms are beautifully decorated. Everything that you need is in your room, and you can easily reach staff by messaging them on your phone. Also, I received a discount on my room. I was able to stay 2 nights at a reasonable price!

Pricey. Amenities were sub par, only decaf coffee (Keurig) in room, sub par soap/mini shampoo. Had to close bathroom door to find the toilet paper, but couldn't close it if you were already sitting down! Your basically paying for location and free parking lot. Other than that, lobby/rooms were not impressive. Dingy carpet and mildew smell throughout.

Great location for walking around downtown NOTL. Nice parking lot in the back. Comfy bed, mini fridge, bathrobes. Fast & friendly check-in/checkout process.

The only negative was the old-fashioned air conditioner. It was loud while operating and prevented us from sleeping well as it kept turning off and on throughout the night.

Great location along NOTL's main street. Parking was a breeze, in fact right outside our room. I love the furnishings...so cozy and quaint and sweet! Staff were also great, giving us suggestions on the nice spots to walk to. We would definitely recommend Moffat Inn!

The two chairs in Room 118 are attractive but too low for a tall person. Also to have breakfast at the desk was problematic.

Would have liked a grab bar INSIDE the shower (the shower floor was quite slippery), but very much appreciated the grab bar to get out of the shower. I would recommend adding an elevator, even if you lose the outside exit. Every single staff member was as kind and friendly as can be, and you don't see that often!

Perfect location for the Shaw Festival plays. For an old building, it was quiet, relatively well kept up, felt safe, and very clean.
