Our room was exceptionally cosy with added touches that really enhanced our stay. The lighting, the shower, the delivered continental breakfast,…just wonderful. Our host, Phil, was inviting and offered up terrific ideas on how to spend our short stay. Being just around the corner from the main street and walking around all the beautiful side streets was ideal. Definitely recommend and will definitely stay again. Thank so much, Phil!

There was nothing not to like

Absolutely perfect: tastefully decorated rooms, comfortable beds, perfect breakfast (with home made pastries) and just incredibly warm and welcoming atmosphere

Nothing that could have been done better. The only thing we were a little disappointed about was that there was no "diningroom" where the guests met for breakfast each day, so we didn't get an opportunity to meet and chat with the other guests. This is something we are used to from our other B&B stays and something we always look forward to. Yes, there was a nice table and umbrella on a patio, but the weather was too humid to eat outside while we were there.

The breakfast was delightful. We didn't expect a boxed breakfast which you could enjoy there or take it "to go". Quite a variety of items and all delicious! Our host was so nice - wish we were staying longer so we had more opportunity to chat with him. Rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated. Bathrooms were beautiful.

We are older and climbing stairs a little difficult with carry on suitcases. The air conditioner was extremely loud and we had trouble sleeping. The owner/ manager was delightful and the breakfast was excellent even though it was a carry away!

Fantastic stay !! Not one concern.

Phil our host is a wonderful man who is detail oriented and extremely attentive to needs. We both had special dietary needs and he easily satisfied them and inquired about them. Bed is wonderful there- great nights of sleep. Back courtyard area is beautiful and we for once sat outside and actually relaxed- a rarity on vacations. The location of the Ivy Walk is phenomenal. In minutes we were downtown. Need something to eat?....fantastic restaurants in a five minute walk. Phil just runs a wonderful inn which he cares for deeply. We feel that we made a friend in Phil, a great man. We will definitely be going back !!!

The shower stall in our room was a bit small, but given that the house is over 200 years old, that is to be expected!

The breakfast, although served as a takeout meal, was very good. Healthy choices were tastefully presented. The location was superb - just steps away from Queen Street and many attractions, including the King George Theatre. The garden in the back is lovely.

I had the best stay! Phil was a kind and generous host. The beds were extremely comfortable, our room had a fireplace, bathtubs, and robes. Each morning, Phil personally greeted us with a warm breakfast and coffee served right to our room. Such special treatment! The location also could not have been more perfect being a block away from the main street. I would absolutely recommend and would love to return!

Everything was great. There was a little confusion on the last day. Another couple left early for a family emergency and thought the breakfast that had been left out for us to take was for them. They mistakenly took our breakfast on their way out. It was not a huge problem as we were stopping for lunch early anyway. It was just confusing with the way the breakfast was left out and not knowing who it really belonged to.

Like the option to have the breakfast to share or take away.
