There was nothing that we didn't like.

The motel was very easy to find and was located close to everything. The staff was great and very friendly. The room was very clean and the mini fridge was a wonderful surprise. The seating area outside was lovely and provided viewing of local deer.

We liked everythng.

We started staying at Picket fence when we still had our Corgis. The facility overall is immaculate, even the doggy-friendly rooms. The hostess, Sue, is very friendly and accomodating. Their location in St. Andrews is within walking distance to the waterfront downtown, if you prefer. We highly recommend Picket Fence and will book it again next time we travel to Nova Scotia.

You can tell the owners take pride in their Motel. The lawn was freshly cute, the doors are yellow and match the garden furniture. Everything was clean, and there were modern updates mixed with the classic charm of the Motel. 10/10 I will definitely stay there again!

We had 3 adults, so it was a bit tight, but was still comfortable.

It is a nice, charming, and comfortable motel. Our hostess was lovely, helpful and accommodating. We needed to find a place at the very last minute, and staff were able to accommodate us. I’d stay again if we are in the area again.

Absolutely nothing. Every other motel and hotel should look to the Picket Fence as a model by which they set their standards. They sure have raised the bar for my expectations!

I really appreciated this motel. You can tell the owners really thought through what should be available to their guests. They provide a binder in each room detailing all that Saint Andrews has to offer. Everything was spotless, clean and comfortable. My fiance and I have stayed in a lot of hotels over the years and this little motel had the highest standard of cleanliness bar none. The owners are highly thoughtful and really seem to appreciate each and every one of their guests. It seemed as though they truly thought of everything. From the light over the bed to the luminescence of the bulb used in the bathroom in comparison to the bedroom. The addition of the outlet so that both sides of the bed had access to a power outlet did not go unnoticed! Everything just seemed to be of exceptional quality (even the TP!) And those little lemon candies...those little candies hit just right when my stomach started growling in the middle of the night. Thank you both for the wonderful stay.

We loved everything! We were on our honeymoon road trip from ontario. We chose to stay here cause of the reviews on booking , and bou were they all right. Our room was super clean, more clean than most hotels I've worked or stayed at. They seem to have a good housekeeping system going on there. The owners were absolutely amazing 👏 they let us know about all the places we should visit and eat at. Our second day there, we had to do some work on our car, and the owners husband helped us a bit and let us use his tools. We are truly grateful for that. Our stay was perfect! Thank you!
