The view from our room, the Bothys restaurant, the room was super cozy and well equip.

The staff and owners were so lovely and friendly! Dinner at the Bothy (on-site restaurant) and breakfast was delicious. The property is beautiful and the accommodations were fantastic. The location is very convenient to the fort and lighthouse. I highly recommend if visiting the Louisbourg area.

Loved the vibe, the team (Colin, Justin, and the amazing Julie!), and the breathtaking ocean view with Fortress Louisbourg. Quite stunning. The food in The Bothy was some of the best we've ever eaten, and the service was kind, caring, knowledgeable, and cordial. North Star Beach Resort is the best of hostelry incarnate: sophisticated, elegant, unpretentious.

That we only stayed one night...

Great location. Pictures on website show it a little more detached. Having Justin and Colin making the whole operation go smoothly and enhancing guest enjoyment was added value and staff are on their toes and great.

The staff were nice and friendly and the place was spotless.

Bed was like plywood. Room smelt musty. The bathroom needed updating. I normally wouldn’t complain about out of date tile and vanity in a bathroom, but when you have to pay nearly $350 for a night you should have your bathroom facilities match the price tag.

My husband and I stayed for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Colin and Justin are very hands on owners and can’t do enough for you. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Ate at The Bothy for dinner and had breakfast and lunch in the Coast. The meals were delicious! Highly recommend!

The location of North Star is really amazing if you have an ocean facing room. It was great to hear the water lapping the shore as we slept. The room itself was lovely, nicely equipped and comfortable. Both the onsite restaurants are stellar - the french onion soup and chicken pot pie are really excellent. The hosts and staff at the property are topnotch, friendly and efficient. Great stay.

Amazing place to stay. Staff were awesome. The restaurant (Bothy) was very cool and amazing with great food and live entertainment.

The food was good but could have been served warmer. We experienced this both nights. Incredible chowder though. Nice menus

The view and the people were great. The location is very close to the Fortress at Louisbourg. The restaurant has a very nice vibe.

The room we stayed in did not match the picture on Booking.com. Expected a balcony and a bedroom suite, got a small porch with no seating and a cramped room. Bathroom could have been cleaner and more updated. No place to put clothes. Outside seating could be much nicer. Exterior light was so bright it was nearly like daylight in the room.

Breakfast is not included but is served in a charming space and the a la carte choices were excellent and appropriately priced. Service level is excellent.

No desk type unit or table in the room.

Great view over the ocean and very comfy large room with good facilities and very comfy bed. Food and environment in the Bothy restaurant was great.

Not a lot to do in Louisbourg other than visit the fort. A few outdoor areas of the accommodation could do with a repaint.

Breakfast was fabulous, and dinner at the Bothy was superb as well.

Perfectly designed room, beautiful style and colors, super comfortable bed, great view with sound of waves, wonderful restaurant with live music on grounds, amazing hosts and personal attention

The suite was a ‘wow’ with every comfort catered for. The breakfast and lunch options were many, varied, freshly prepared and delicious. The staff were attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We were advised places to visit and encouraged to see the locale. Entertainment was excellent while the location was calm, peaceful and relaxing.

The location was beautiful and close to the city. Grounds were impeccable. Staff and owners were friendly and made me feel welcome and included even though I was on my own. Will definitely be returning.

The restaurants were charming and had great food and service. A little pricey but great atmosphere. My room was lovely and had everything I needed to be comfortable. I liked the bed personally but some might find it form if they are used to a plush mattress.

I really can't think of anything. I loved it there! Maybe blackout curtains for the windows facing the street lamps? Some people don't sleep well when the room is too bright.
