Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

This quaint Inn is located off the main highway in a cottage like setting. The rooms are clean with wooden floors. It has no air conditioning but the rooms had window and portable fans. We received a free continental breakfast consisting of 2 slices of fresh fruit, juice, fresh baked muffin, and a small bowl of granola with yogurt and fruit on top. There was an extra charge for a full breakfast.

CanadaCould use a little more cleaning. The fans were dirty especially the exhaust fan in the bathroom. No air conditioning. Was lucky that it cooled off last night
I liked that it was a small business. The muffins were baked fresh by his wife.

United StatesBecause our room was small, there was no space for our luggage. The shower/bathroom that was located with our room was a little small and not much room for necessities needed when showering or using the mirror. There was no elevator. We also had two doors that overlapped in our room which was odd, but they didn't really cause a problem other than you couldn't lock the door. We felt safe though and enjoyed the time spent there.
It was a very interesting place. We liked the sitting area with the fireplace. We liked having separate rooms for our family members with access to two bathrooms. The beds were comfortable. The location was right on our way back home. The proprietor was friendly and explained how we could use the facilities. There was a nice continental breakfast with coffee, juice, muffins and several choices of fresh fruits.

CanadaThe only thing I wasn't a fan of was that you have to share a fridge with other guests. And the beds were a bit outdated and loud to move around on.
Great little place, very peaceful and owners were very nice. Great breakfast made with love and care ❤️

CanadaCan't think of a single thing we didn't like!
We loved the ambience of this 1842 little Inn. The owners have maintained its original look and feel, making it appear as if you've turned back time! The owners were so amazing ... they made us feel welcome and totally relaxed. The small size of the inn also made it possible to speak and enjoy time with other guests, but privacy was also available. Great place to stay!! Absolutely loved it! Shelly and Frank

United StatesIf the General Store was in business, so we could eat there and not have to drive to Goderich, too bad it’s up for sale .
The Inn was amazing with all it’s ancient decor letting us feel like it was 200 years ago !! We felt at home as soon as we stepped in. Because it was a wet weekend we enjoyed table games and the guys enjoyed watching the hockey playoff game sitting comfortably at the Beautiful Bar. Breakfast was incredible with homemade cereal, muffins made by our host’s wife 👍Thanks to our wonderful host for our great time 😊

CanadaLovely, quaint, quiet inn, we loved sitting on the porch, and the hosts were very helpful. Breakfast was lovely-homemade baking, some homemade granola and yoghurt with lots of fruit (and the offer of eggs and bacon but it was already a lot!). Location is nice -close enough to get everywhere but away from the crowds! Reccomend this friendly little inn!

CanadaMaybe put carpet pieces on the doors so that when guests close their doors it isn't so loud. Pets are welcome which is really nice, yet barking dogs (in the early evening) were not so nice. I also wonder how potential allergy issues are managed (eg. future guests whom may book a room that had a cat or dog in it).
Nice farmhouse-type accommodation. Generously portioned breakfast. Comfy bed. Across the street from the general store & pub. Friendly host.

CanadaTh bed was little too firm for me, but the pillows were perfect.
This is a very tranquil spot, loved the pond, hot tub. Great atmosphere, it was like going back in time! Lovely reception, eating area. The host was great. General store , restaurant and pub across the street, in this little cove away from the traffic sounds. All you hear is the birds, crickets and the water running in the pond.

CanadaNothing. Everything was great
This is the coziest and most unusual place my husband and I've been to. The decor of the hotel transports you back to the past, and that's exactly what you need if you're tired of modern bustling city life. We felt at home sitting around the fire, listening to music and playing chess. The owner is such a nice person. He's always there to talk to and help you, but he also leaves you alone to let you rest. In the morning, he made us breakfast, and I'd never eaten such a delicious hotel breakfast before. The whole experience was far beyond our expectations.

CanadaNo air conditioning in the inn. It doesn't say online either ..very hot upstairs. Also I thought I was booking a queen suite but it was just a bedroom...no closet..really not many options for sitting. There was a fridge and microwave and couch outside the room to be shared by 3 bedrooms..I feel this should be made very clear online. ..
Breakfast was great! Inn was clean and hosts were excellent. Outdoor area was very pleasant
