Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaHallway carpets need replacing as they are stained terribly. Deep cleaning every couple of months as guests spill coffee, track dirt in, etc. Renovations are being done on the outside, so maybe the hallways will be done. The chemical cleaning/ air freshener smell? is way over the top in the reception area. I'm not sensitive to smells, and I winced every time I entered. Headache developed during breakfast on two mornings. The front walkway had garden debris strewn across it for many days. It made it more difficult to navigate the luggage rack, suitcases, and the risk of twisting an ankle. Fixes to the rooms and hallways weren't always great.
Stayed 5 nights within a week with 3 reservations. Stayed in rm 119. Although it was clean, one bed sagged so much it needed to be replaced. It was not a good sleep for me, but my family had a good sleep on the other bed. Rm 232 beds were great. Small TVs were nice to relax with after a long day of activities. Sure, channels up to 25 were grainy, so we selected above 25. Easy. Breakfast was decent. Eggs, sausage, breads, yogourts, juices, coffee & tea. Small area and more tables are needed. Diane was great at keeping it as clean as possible. Guests are slobs. The large coffee machine was out of order, so she constantly had to make more coffee in the small dispenser. Two small coffee and milk dispensers would be better suited. Supply issue? Good location near Hwy 401, fast food restaurants, and, of course, Tim Hortons! Front desk staff were always friendly and helpful. If you want a 5* pristine hotel, then pay the extra money and go elsewhere. Port Hope Inn is a good hotel for the price and amenities. Yes, it has stains, cheap fixes, and old A/C units. It is great for the budget conscience and it's pet friendly for a very reasonable price.

CanadaThere are minor repairs that need to be done in the room (cupboard door missing, lamp without light bulb) not large stuff and nothing worth calling the front desk about but leaving an impression of unkempt.
We were very happy with the size and spaciousness of our room.

Canada3 adults staying only 2 washcloths and 2 Hand towels but 4 bath towels , when we asked for additional small towels front desk replied “there’s 4 towels in the room” but she got us the towels finally. Paper was peeling off the wall in the bathroom, room key did not open side door to parking even though sign posted there said it did. Also no blow dryer in the room had to ask for it at front desk.
Clean , location was good .

CanadaRoom was very humid and even with the AC running full blast while we went out to dinner in downtown, we still came back to a room that felt and smelled damped. Some air circulation would be beneficial as damp smell would not go away. No cable? Looks like it was only Antenna feed, with plenty of snow...
Almost right off the highway, the location was a simple in and out with some chain restaurants close by, some within walking distance. The checkin and checkout was a simple task and room/bathroom were up to expectations as far as clean. Multiple parking spots available within a few feet off the entrance.

United StatesThe ice machine on my floor was broken. The building looked a little tired. The carpet in my room was ripped at the edge, and strings were hanging. The water took a very long time to get hot.
The location was great, the room was big, and the bed was comfortable. I also liked the fridge and microwave in the room.

CanadaWe paid 204$ for 1 night... I didn't complain because I had my 4 month old and my 2 year old and we were just tired from our travels ... But our room smelled like weed... The beds were very outdated; we felt the springs and kept moving and squeeking. Everything was old looking and very not worth 200$... We had previously stayed here on the 3rd level and it was "better". We stayed on the 1st level this time and it was just terrible..
Breakfast was good
