We stayed at this hotel 6 years ago, 2 years ago and everything was better. That's why we stayed here this time too, but everything got worse. There weren't even potatoes for breakfast like before, not to mention any variety. We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is getting old and nothing is being renovated, there is an unpleasant smell in the room, and the pillows smell old.

No choice of bread. Being diabetic I can't eat white bread. Àlso could only get one channel on the TV. Staff member tried to fix it. Told me I would probably get some kind of a discount.

Our room was kind of damp and there was some mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Our room wasn't cleaned properly and the garbage wasn't taken away on one of the mornings we were there. I noticed at one point some cleaning staff struggling to get a vacuum to run, it looked like it was very old. It was a bit noisy in this hotel, and very easy to hear the people around us. Their phone system was down so I had to go to the lobby when I needed to ask them to take care of the noise from some particularly noisy neighbors late one night. The pool was nice but it looks like it needs a good scrub, along with the hot tub (they seemed to do the proper chemicals, but it was obvious nothing has been cleaned in a long time- lots of scum/grime). The ceiling in the pool area looks like it needs some tiles replaced and a good paint job. The games room was only open on a Friday and Saturday evening for a few hours, not sure why it's such a short window of time as I'm sure all the families staying would have used it more often with their kids. On our last evening there, an inspector was in to take a look at the bumper cars (which had not been running). He kept the two staff there busy, and we ended up waiting for over an hour for pizza as it kept getting burned because it was neglected. The staff at least were kind and let us play games while we waited (though it was past closing time). The breakfast was ok, it was very basic: a few different cereals, toast, scrambled eggs and sausages. There was yogurt and juice available along with apples and oranges. They also offered waffles, which were a highlight, but we had to wait for the batter on one morning because there was only one staff to take care of the entire breakfast area. It seems to me that this hotel could be very good, but it needs more attention and care from management, and it needs more staff.

All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The pool was a good size. It was nice that they have a hot tub. The kids liked the games room, which included bowling. The location of the hotel is convenient to the highway and some shopping/eating.

The room and building didn’t seem clean. The previous occupant’s half used soap and shampoo were still in the shower. The shower door didn’t close well and the shower was small and felt dirty. The building had air fresheners in the hallways which gave off a weird smell. The television channels were almost all just the same news station over and over. The breakfast was blah and served on paper plates. The place was inexpensive for a reason.

Location was okay, walking distance to grocery, coffee shop, and other amenities, easy drive to downtown and waterfront. Staff were very kind and helpful. There was a swimming pool. It was fairly quiet.

Breakfast was hot and fresh The arcade was a nice little bonus but a lot of the stuff wasn’t working, the pool was way too cold and the hot tub temperature was decent but more than half the jets don’t work. When we arrived the room we had on the main floor a the back of the building the sliding door lock was broken and had just a piece of wood to keep it from opening. The lady at the front desk was very quick to get our room switched for us.

Cleanliness was the biggest thing for me, I looked in my room where I was staying for the week and just things that the staff had missed that weren’t easy to miss should’ve been cleaned. I looked at the hotel before I stayed at it and the room I was shown was beautiful. My room didn’t feel like it was upgraded. It needed a lot of improvement, meaning things just haven’t been kept up well.

My night staff was great helping out and cleaning staff were very nice if needed anything.

The patio door to our room was falling apart. You could see the outside through the broken trim which let in lots of cold air. Hot tub was down. The bottom floor where we stayed smelled of weed.

Rooms need upgrading badly....hallways need repair some windows had snow blowing through gaps...pool changerooms in need ofrepair and cleaning... washrooms in rooms have mould ...carpets need replacing.

It was very outdated, the furniture was missing paint and had burn marks on it, the bathroom was very small and the paint at the bottom of the bridge above the pool was drooping and chipping. The whole Place need a deep clean and a revamp.

The room had a stale odour to it. The chef slept in, therefore we did not receive a hot breakfast before leaving and we had to make waffles which is not what we wanted. Cheap plastic knives and forks were provided in the dining area.

We were able to control the temperature in our room. The bed was comfortable.

Room had a smell, bathroom door kept getting stuck, wouldnt shut all the way and had to pull hard to get out. Also had alot of patch work on it.

Front desk staff very nice and accomodating. Bed was comfortable. Was ok for one night stay.
