Expected a house rather than a renovated school, but it turned out well, huge bathroom, furniture was comfortable and Paul had a games room I wish we'd had enough energy to use. All in all a pleasant stay and host was very helpful.

Spacious room, very unique building (old school with many of the original features still there!), friendly owners. Lots of local history all around.

We had a good breakfast, the room allowed for a good cup of coffee to be brewed. Thee owner was a delight to talk to, suggesting a local pub for Dinner with local entertainment (Apparently best on Fridays).

I had the room without a bathroom, but that was known at booking. It will be better once they can get approval to renovate to add one.

It's not fancy, but it had what you need. It suited me just fine, got a good sleep and lite bite before heading to the national historic site on the morning.

A very convenient location for our visit to L'Anse aux Meadows. The room was very spacious and Prime TV was a bonus. The host was very friendly and had good recommendations on restaurants and places to see.

Friendly owner, location, and spacious room. Paul told us there was a view point behind the property (unpaved trail, needs SUV), and we enjoyed the beautiful sunrise. The property is a former school and it was fun staying at the renovated room. There was a game room, and adventure centre; you can enjoy indoor laser tag and Jelly ball.

Dryer was not very good. Hard water was hard on face when washing up. Shower settings were a little weird, so took a while to figure out.

Games room was a nice touch and laundry facilities were appreciated after long trip. Good value for cost.

Beware, in this town, everything closes at 8 or 9 pm, so eat dinner or buy your groceries early! The huge windows have sheer curtains which allow the early sunlight to wake you very early, not always your choice!

First of all, this is an unattractive old school and upon arrival, there were no clear indications of where to enter or how to check in. Finally, a cheerful gentleman showed up, the owner. He showed us to our apartment which was converted from a large classroom. Not very aesthetically appealing quarters BUT an adequate stay with a mostly complete kitchen, spacious sleeping areas, large bathroom. Bottled drinking water was provided. Overall, it was a unique and fun experience in a location close to where we saw icebergs and the L'anse aux meadows Viking attractions. Scenic town with hiking trails and shops.

It was an old school converted in part to guest rooms. Our suite was very spacious with everything we needed. Certainly a different atmosphere staying at a school. Comfortable bed!!! Would recommend, especially to families with children as there's a game room for use.

This was the longest stay we had on our travels so we were very pleased with the spacious accommodation. Paul and Rhoda were welcoming and friendly to the extent that they lent us a piece of their own cooking equipment as we hadn’t realised we wouldn’t have a kitchen. We were given a tour of the property and also recommendations for places to eat. Archaeological students were staying so it was nice to mix with them at the fire pit on our last evening.
