How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe suite was very lovely and well appointed.
We gave the master bedroom to our guests and we slept in the 2nd bedroom. The only problem was there was no drawers in that bedroom at all. I think they should change out the side tables and replace them with tables that have drawers.

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful stay! It was perfect for us, spacious, beautifully updated, and spotless. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, and the big dining table was perfect for everyone to sit together. The beds were very comfortable, and the layout made it easy for everyone to have their own space. We also loved having access to the pool, hot tub, and sauna after a day out. The location was great, close to everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!
The pool and hot tub can get quite crowded, but we were there over the weekend, so that’s to be expected.

Verified reviewEverything was just great. We spent three nights in a lovely, bright, renovated and cozy apartment (also considering the little details) with living room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms and a huge balcony with view to the mountains. We are traveling quite a lot and this was definitely one of the most beautiful apartments we have stayed in so far (better than a hotel, if you are not looking for meals and service). Kitchen looked well equipped, though we did not really use it.
The pool area was maybe not the nicest one I have ever seen , but it was still fine and we came for different things anyway.

Verified reviewWe love the location of Cascade Lodge. We have been coming to Cascade lodge for the last 25 years and try to stay here twice a year. We’ve in particular have stayed in unit #336 at least a dozen of times maybe more. We book it because of the balcony. Although since the reno last year there were no tables on the deck, and the furnishings were not as useful in the rooms ie: more functionality of the dressers especially in the spare room( and no side table with drawers) I have seen in other units where in the closets they had closet organizers with shelves and hang bars. ( dresser in main bedroom was cute) but not functional.
I have never paid as much $$ for a two night stay at Cascade Lodge, we would normally come for a minimum of three or more nights but we were heading to Pemberton for a wedding. I felt paying over $ 1100 for the two nights was a little steep ( but did it because we wanted the balcony) out of 8 couples who all stayed at Cascade Lodge we paid the most by over $ 300 dollars and I’m comparing the one bedrooms with the 2 bedrooms. Because my daughter had a newly renovated 2 bedroom suite and her invoice was around $840 for the two nights. Everyone had renovated rooms except one couple and their invoice was $408. Room #336 was the only room that had a cleaning fee as well at a $ 175 I felt the cleaning wasn’t 10/10 :ie baseboards were dirty ( in bathroom especially) the wall in the kitchen was dirty as well. But all in all, we still love unit #336 with the new renovations, just wished had more functional improvements with the furniture. Would I stay in unit 336 again, probably not :( Because of the $$ cleaning fee )

Verified reviewMy family and I had a great time at this property, where we stayed between traveling from Banff to Vancouver. It was a relief being able to do some much-needed laundry at this point in our trip, with an in-unit washer and dryer. The location was super convenient and within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. It was easy to retrieve the code from the front desk upon check-in.
Not a big deal, but maybe the bathroom walls and some of the doors could be spruced up since they had smudges and scuff marks. It would also be nice to have fresh disinfecting wipes and access to a broom so we could clean up after ourselves (the wipes under the kitchen sink had dried out).

Verified reviewBeautiful condo. Lots of space. Would definitely book again.
Only one hot tub was working during our stay, so the hot tub that was operational was crowded.

Verified reviewWonderfully renovated property located at the edge of the main village. The property is located in the Cascade Lodge, which is a well managed building right across the street from the main loop where buses drop off. Walking to the lifts (Whistler Gondola, Fitzsimmons Express, or Excalibur Gondola) was a less than 10 minute pleasant stroll through the village. There's also a ski check on the first floor as well as a pool/hot tub facility. The unit itself was tastefully renovated with comfortable beds, space to spread out, a nice kitchen, and a massive balcony with access from all three main rooms.
Nothing!

Verified reviewthe apartment itself was just as pictured. Roomy and nicely decorated.
Construction noise was ongoing into the night as well as two bus stops that seemed to run all night long making it nearly impossible to sleep. 10AM checkout is absolutely absurd. No checkout should be earlier than 11AM

Verified reviewThe unit was lovely. Recently renovated. Very attractive, comfortable and nice. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. The pool was also nice. The location right near the downtown was great.
The hotel itself could use some upgrading; the hallways and lobby are dated.

Verified reviewIt was a perfectly lovely tasteful 2-bdrm / 2-bath condo, very clean, nicely furnished, not cluttered, very comfortable, with good choices of materials, especially the white oak flooring & the pleasant color palette throughout...Modern kitchen appliances w/additional small appliances & necessary essentials for making breakfast before exploring the very close proximity of Whistler & Blackcomb...Each good size bathroom had a separate tub & shower combo w/good lighting. Being the weather was nice & warm, it was nice having widows open for cross ventilation. The unit was nicely situated, quiet at the end of the 3rd floor hall w/a entry foyer before the front door, very private. The long deck/patio w/a view was a perfect place to sit out & have coffee in the morning. The Cascade Lodge staff were all very nice & helpful. Parked the car underground, safe & secure...
There was absolutely nothing about the condo unit we didn't like...The only thing to consider at the very centrally located Cascade Lodge, for those who are budgeting their extended vacation stay, is the $26 per day additional charge for parking underground, but it's also worth it to know that your car is secure, out of the hot sun &/or out of bad weather...
