There was nothing I didn't like. It's not polished like a big city downtown hotel it's a small old motel in a small town at the end of the road. Loved it.

We arrived with modest expectations and they were exceeded. The beds and bathrooms were clean and in good order. The manager on duty (Paul) was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. We were two couples travelling together and all of us were really happy with the facilities and service. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others.

Missing a few supplies in the room - example: hangers for coats/clothing and a problem with the small refrigerator/freezer but Les, the assistant manager efficiently and quickly took care of it.

The location and rate was great and the breakfast room fare was fine for us.

It was a bit expensive but I guess it’s the price for the high season !

Great location ! The room and bathroom were clean. It has been upgraded recently with new floors and a fresh coat of paint. The employees were very friendly.

It wasn’t very clean. There were hairs in the bathroom on the walls and In the sink. The amenities for being a kitchenette suite were not good at all. The dishes were dirty, the “soap” was A rinse aid for a dishwasher. The fridge was dirty enough that I felt I had to use bleach wipes on the handle.

The bed was comfortable.

Rooms are secured with a keypad with all the same prefix and room number code. Did not feel secure.

They’re doing renovations, so at 7am and throughout the day there was constant banging and such. Also, I hate leaving this here, but there was hair in the bathroom yet and didn’t feel like the floor was cleaned properly. Got a room with an older bed and super flat pillows. We usually enjoy our stay here, unfortunately not this this time around

You have to be there really early for the breakfast as the place has workers staying there who are up early. To be honest I did not think there was going to be a breakfast until he told us there was . Renovations going on while we were there but did not interfere with us. The owner was very pleasant. Went out of his way to please us.

Rooms are basic but OK. Breakfast was very basic really, the usual American-type of sweet stuff like cupcakes and white bread rolls and bad coffee. Very efficient laundry service though.

Cigarette butts all over the grounds despite the Motor Inn attempts to provide out door containers for butts. The clientele are bike travellers, loggers, outdoor workers, and a few tourists. It is a bumpy mix of people coming and going at all hours because of the nature of their work. It was expected and anticipated by our Paddlers group of 7. We were there to golf and check out the parks. We worked it like a camping trip. A little "rough" in places but the staff were always very willing to help get us things we needed whether it was propane for the barbecues, dishes or cooking utensils.

We made our own breakfast the first morning and used the supplies in the common room the second morning. We used our own coffee and milk. We brought along some things as we did not know what to expect. The common area had sufficient seating and provisions. There were no dish towels or dish rags. We used the paper towels on the wall for cleaning up. There seemed to be no supervision of the area. Some people were not very good at cleaning up. Materials were shared as were toasters etc. An employee would spot check the area occasionally. The motor Inn was close to services and a very nice pub next door up the hill.

Margarine was sitting out for a long time and had melted. No juice or fruit. No room service on Sunday so towels and coffee were not refreshed, and garbage not empited.

The hospitality room with TV, chairs and tables, kitchen area. Breakfast with lot of hot coffee - snacks available free of charge.

Curtain only covered 3/4 of the window. Fridge leaked. Shower matt dirty. Aircon was subpar and couldn’t open the window as there was no bug screen. Specifically emailed the inn to ask if the room had a stove and kettle, was told it did, but it clearly didn’t. Staff incredibly apathetic.

The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They even have a laundry service with a very good machine that gets clothes very clean. They stayed up late to let us in when our boat was delayed on the water!

This place was filthy. The bathroom floor was white, but covered in black dirt, especially by the shower. They provided absolutely no soap, there wasn’t even hand soap at the sink. It was a good thing we brought our own, but not even the bare minimum was provided. There was empty margarine containers and some dirty pots in the bedroom for some reason. The bed was very uncomfortable, but at the very least was clean. Overall, not the greatest place to stay, but at least it’s warm and out of the rain while traveling up north. If this place was half or even 2/3 of the price it would be worth it. But we’ve stayed at much nicer places for this price, or even less.

The view was nice from outside.
