Reviews of River's Edge Retreat

The location was right on the river. Peaceful surrounds yet close to all facilities. Description of property and welcome instructions were specific and correct. We hiked a lot and there is plenty to see so make sure you are up early and make the best part of your trip

The property was really well maintained, clean and the kitchen was fully equipped (+ real stove and oven). It was really cozy and romantic. The view on the river was amazing. The parking in front of the property was very convenient. I highly recommend this place!

Beautiful setting. Excellent size accommodation. Really comfortable beds! Centrally located. Coffee facilities and towels. Very clean.

When we booked it we were not aware that it was shared bathroom facilities- see attached- we found out couple of days before. My husband has crohns so the walk to the shared toilets and showers was not ideal. Also only 2 womens toilets snd showers for over 10 chalets and campers. So although the facilities were lovely there was not enough of them. The booking info is definitely misleading

Beautiful location on the river, brand new accommodation and facilities.

Toilets and showers in a central building but very clean, all new and comfortable

Location on river was peacful. Cabin was really nice, clean and spacious. Bed was small ans squeaky. Bathrooms not in room, but they are close by and clean.

We were not permitted to drive car to cabin, so had to lugg our suitcases through grass paddock in the rain.

The accommodation‘s name is quite literal and we truly were at the edge of the river. It was wonderful being able to spot wildlife out of our bed (see pictures). The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, the bedsheets smelled nice and everything was clean.

The host, Sarah, was very kind, open and just super nice! The location is one of a kind but has even more potential than the super nice cabins existing so far! Lovely decorated and full view to the river.

So far the kitchen is missing and it would be nice to have an area to gather with a bigger group or with other visitors.

Bed could have been bigger .

We acccidentally booked a cabin that didnt have a private bathroom (apparently put in a misleading way at the booking.com platform), but could luckily easily switch to a cabin with own private facilities (for a little addition to the rate). The host was very nice and helpful and we enjoyed our stay : it was perfect!!

The ‘standard’ cabins do not have private bathroom. This was not clear on booking.com but the hosts now clarify this . We received a lot of messages through booking.com in advance (on opportunities for activities etc… so its not always clear which messages are just advertisement and which ones are important (eg rental agmt ).

The cabin was beautiful, very clean, modern and comfortable, it sits right by the riverbank as the name suggests, it was so quiet and peaceful

Beautiful location, spectacular river view. Clean and cozy.

No hanging space for clothing. A little hard to find with no road side signage

We liked how cozy the space was. It was nice having some quiet time alone.

Beds could be bigger and hot water wasn’t that hot. Signage need to be better.

Small house well furnished. Quiet location and beautiful place.

The view was absolutely stunning. Very peaceful location. Definitely stay there again.
