We were warmly greeted by Peter who very kindly upgraded us to the best suite in the Seine Boat Inn with views directly over Alert Bay. Later that evening, we saw a humpback whale just in front of our porch! Pure magic!

We were unsure where to drop the keys when leaving.

This property is literally on the water on main street. The veranda area is charming and the staff extra friendly and helpful. The owner recommended a small restaurant where we ended up having one of the best meals of our trip, beautifully serviced, genuinely tasty food, charming owner. A surprise for such a small town. Our room with it's sparse pine interior had just what we needed and felt fresh and pristine.

Nothing to do with the Inn. There were no breakfast restaurants anywhere - they all open at 1pm for lunch/dinner. Bring some food to get you started for the day - the rooms come equipped with kitchenettes.

The room was beautifully appointed; the location on the ocean is stellar. The front desk proprietor and the cleaning staff were personable and very welcoming.

The fan wasn't working but we cracked a couple of doors and I honestly had forgotten about the fan until my fiancé mentioned it as we packed up and I was raving about how much I loved the space.

we stayed in the king suite with the amazing 270 degree view of the channel. I could live here full time! Kitchen was well stocked, coffee was good quality, staff was helpful and friendly, the view was 100% as you'd expect from the listing. 10/10

We were more than satisfied with our stay. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and received a free upgrade to the house on top of the hill with a stunning view of the sea. Simply wonderful! The house is fully equipped, making you feel completely at home. The washing machine and dryer were a great added convenience. The glass front in both the bedroom and living room with that breathtaking view — absolutely priceless.

Beautiful views and lovely accommodation. Everyone so friendly and inclusive. The suite is gorgeous, comfortable bed, the kitchen has everything you need including coffee and tea. Beautiful bathroom with plenty of room for your “stuff”

Everything was great

Beautiful room (105) with a deck right on the water in Alert Bay. Nice and bright , the room was surrounded by windows. Bedding, and towels were white and added to the overall brightness. Clean large bathroom and perfectly equipped kitchen nook with hot plate , microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Absolutely loved it!

Some noise from the neighbouring unit on our second evening, but this didn’t affect our sleep or enjoyment of our stay

A little short on storage space for kitchen aids. Counter space is crowded. Fridge access was awkward - too low for easy access. Nowhere for clothing storage. Drapery was too light to keep room dark in early morning.

Room was lovely - just like the pictures in the ad.

Only suggestion would be block out blinds/curtains or a way to turn off the decking lights as the light came into the room and made it a bit bright at night.

Comfortable and clean room right on the water. We were one of only a couple people staying here so it was very quiet. The kitchenette had everything we needed and the accommodation was close to the supermarket so we were able to get what we needed there and cook it at the room, including using the outdoor grill. Great selection of tea and coffee provided. Rooms were warm when it mattered most. Bathroom was clean and the shower pressure strong. Great place to stay for a couple of nights.
