Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Area around cabin was well looked after with trails for walking. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful.

Central lighting in the cottage (the one in kitchen was just very poor, the one in the center of the room had a fan that I didnt manage to switch off - should have probably asked for advice); only once we had hot water in the bathroom sink - we didnt figure out why/ how (there was no problem with hot water in the shower or kitchen sink, sometimes water pressure was not great, but still usable); fridge with open freezer - some of our food froze solid the first night; Internet was poor (but we didnt expect it to be great in such location) ,it was VERY pricy accomodation (comparing to all others we stayed in in Atlantic Canada);

friendly and communicative hosts, location at Cabot Trail - close to trails, view points - very close to main road, but still location in the back of property - it was quiet, almost wild (we had beautiful fox visiting in the morning); the cottage is basic, a bit rustic/eclectic in design, but in the end has everything you need - comfortable bed, efficient heating, bathroom with micro-shower (we measured - 71x71cm), small kitchinette, keyless lock. It was super clean. We liked beach access where you could observe seals playing in big waves. All directions provided by hosts were clear and it was easy to get there.

Separate bedrooms instead of all in one room

I thought I had booked a cabin with two separate bedrooms, Booking.com didn’t make clear that everything was in one room Location is great with woods to explore and a beautiful Atlantic beach over the road

The shower was a little small but it served the purpose!

It was the perfect location to travel the Cabot trail. The cabin had everything we needed. We did not get to use the trails on the property, however they were easily accessible. Location is near some great local artisan shops and cafes. The beach across the road was also beautiful. Ruth and Adam are very friendly and hospitable. We truly enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was attractively furnished and set up so that we could prepare our own supper. Trails were nearby so we could take a walk. If we had wished, we could have crossed the highway to see the ocean.

Some utensils were not clean. A woodsy location, some little bugs managed to crawl inside on the floor.

The garbage and compost needed to be picked up daily. Because it was not, the cottage developed an unpleasant odor. We search for a place on the property to dispose of our garbage and compost, but were unable to find one. Consequently, we took our garage and compost with us one day and deposited it at an appropriate location away from Trailside. It would have been been helpful if there had been some information as to how best to contact the hosts; no information was provided in the guest information book. Also, additional cutlery in the kitchen would have been helpful, as there was only 2 forks, 2 spoons and 3 knives. Preparing a meal was a challenge.
