How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We didn't have any issues with our neighbours, but I could see if you had noisy neighbours, how this arrangement could be a problem. Each cottage had a designated parking spot, that was on the smaller side, especially if you were driving something like a camper - again, for us not an inconvenience, as we had a smaller SUV type vehicle. All in all, not much to complain about here. Very clean and quiet and close to all of the "things" we wanted.
We stayed in a duplex-style cottage. small but cozy, with outdoor patio space with table/chairs. Room included fridge/large TV with large selection of viewing options, and location very close to Highlands National Park, Ingonish Beach and restaurants, and just down the road from Cape Smokey/gondola. There was an outdoor barbeque area, which was shared with other guests, but was amazing as a dinner option, since many of the local restaurants were very expensive. No hot breakfast included, but coffee maker was available.

We had an adjoining cabin/duplex, and we could hear minimal noise and the door opening and closing. I would Like book a single cottage the next time.
Extremely clean, big bathroom, comfortable accommodations, bbq for use, assigned parking at your cottage, friendly informative staff, easy transaction, great location. I would stay here again.

Driveway is very steep. No comfortable chairs to sit in. Room is large enough for a bed and small table and 2 straight chairs. Slow internet connection affects TV streaming
No breakfast included. Bed was very comfortable. Small room very clean. Everything was up to date. Bathroom was clean. The air was fresh and clean in the room. Chairs on porch were comfortable

No complaints at all
This property was top notch. We were late booking and was surprised we were able to get something so nice with a few weeks notice. Very clean and had everything in the cabin we needed and more.

Could have used some milk/creamer for morning coffee.
So cute! We did not visit Ingonish Beach, but we visited the historic resort and the restaurant there was terrific.... incredible views and great meal.

Of course the tourism in the area makes the flights inflated, so the value for money would be the only thing worth nothing. This, however, is just the name of the game if you want to do the Cabot Trail.
Great stay! The owners were super kind and helpful, and the rooms are spacious with a great view.

While not in the Skyline Cabin’s control, the area lost power early morning and we had no water to shower. The Manager was very quick to respond once power was restored to get the water back on asap, but not before we had to check out. Thanks!
The cabin was cute and very clean. The Bathroom was big and the room was well air conditioned.

Comfortable bed, nice front porch, big bathroom. Airco. There’s no cutlery or plates provided but when we asked they kindly lent us some. Short walk to a supermarket and a restaurant across the road. Good option to stay while in Ingonish. Few minutes drive to the park entrance.
