Reviews of Studio unit with private entrance, 2 bed 1 bath

If you are looking for a quiet place to lay your head, this is not the place for you. Very little sound proofing and the hosts didn’t even abide by their set quiet times. It would have been nice to know, prior to booking, that a family with young children lived above. The suite was very small and cramped with two single beds. The unit was poorly cleaned as there were hairs on the bathroom floor, dirt on the vanity mirror and the window sills/baseboards were caked in grime/dust. I will not be staying here again.

Location was good - Outside downtown St John’s but close to amenities and easy to find. While the space was small it contained everything we needed. The owner was attentive and very helpful when I left my iPad behind.

There are two single beds but the space is small for two adults. It would be great for a solo traveller or an adult with a child.

It was easy to access and clean

Very small and not much room for luggage, also some noise from above (footsteps and vacuuming late at night)

It was affordable

noisy, kids running for a good part of the evening in the main house above. Had to knock on the door to get the code to get into the unit. Had to ask for small handcloths for the shower and took out our own overflowing garbage after 3 days.

They have utilized the space very well. The studio apartment is compact, cozy and very clean. The location is close to good shopping and a less than $20 UBER ride to the restaurants and music in Water & George Street. There is a small fridge/freezer, a microwave, and a Keurig Coffee Maker. She left a supply of paper cups & plates. The owner was excellent at responding to any questions and also welcomed us. She told us to please let her know if we needed anything. Great water pressure in the shower. I also appreciated that they had a toilet that was ADA height.

Clean and tidy with comfortable beds. Everything we needed. Host was very reaponsive

Maybe provide plates and cutlery to use with microwave.

The price was very reasonable and the proprietor did her best to deal with our concerns.

This is a very small room. With two single beds there is no room for any desk, table or chair and in fact, when you leave your luggage on the floor you must step over it all the time. It would be much more suitable for one traveller, one bed with a chair and some surface area.

It was clean

Too noisy early morning. The host and children were up and about very early and footsteps were loud directly above my room.

Leaving

The fact that the owner had their kids running and stomping and jumping the entire time we were there. Then when my wife asked to keep it down because of the headache she had because of the noise she was told that they will be kids.

I was looking for an affordable place in the city to get a shower to lay my head for the night, It was cozy, comfortable...the right price.

The room was too small for the furniture, the basin was squashed into a tight corner and impossible to use. The bed was between a door and a refrigerator, the compressor kept turning on throughout the night making it impossible to sleep. The shower was also very tight for a large man, not considerably I might add. The owner was a nice guy and welcoming but the studio is too small for 2 beds.
